ok so i fell asleep last night and i thought to myself, i know im gonna be lucid tonight.. well in my dream, i was talking online via AIM (instant messenger) and i remember typing to my friends and talking to them and i remember typing, IM DREAMING!!!! i typed it!! but when i thought about it, i didn't beleive myself, ARGGHH!!!!!!!! all i had to do was a simple reality check! and the most OBVIOUS THING! every IM i did, would turn into a different person i was talking to. ie: i was talking to one person, then i would look away, then look back and it was a different person i was talking to....... this made me fustrated when i woke up noticing that i was so close!! but at least i am progressing i havn't had a LD yet but i hope i do soon..

I think you might have been using AIM too much! Dont feel bad I've had stuff like that happen. I had a non-lucid dream about telling my friends about lucid dreaming, and that we could be dreaming right now but I never did a RC.

yeah but the thing is, i KNEW i was in a state of rest! what i mean by that is, when i said that, i didn't believe myself that i was sleeping, in fact i thought i was just resting and at the point right before i was sleeping, (like just sitting in be trying to sleep) well tonight will be better!

Once I was putting the key into the ignition keyhole of my truck and the hole was in the center of the steering wheel. I thought "this is a strange place for the key to go and thought maybe I'm dreaming" Then said out load " naa it’s real enough" and went on without doing a RC

I have dreams about AIM too, lol. I'm always really frustrated in the dream because the words on the screen are always really hard to read, like they keep disappearing and rearranging. Then when I wake up it usually takes me a little while to realize that it wasn't a real conversation, lol. Crazy stuff.
