      Lucid or not lucid?

I had a lucid experience last night for the first time in several months. I think reading about it on this website has helped me a lot.

Anyway, it wasn't too great of an experience, but it was interesting nevertheless. I had a dream where a bird was driving a car around my back yard, and there were wookies from Star Wars (yes ... wookies) I also saw a dog with wings that was hovering above my grass in the yard, taking a dump on it By this point, I finally started asking myself if I was dreaming or not.

At that point, it all hit me like a ton of bricks that I was and I woke up, but I wasn't fully awake. I was in SP, cause I couldn't move. Normally I freak out when this happens and try to wake myself up, but this time, I remained calm and tried to go back into my dream. It felt like I was sinking into my bed, and I started to dream lightly, but then I woke up ... really this time.

It wasn't exactly what I had wished for, but I feel it was a success anyway.

Sounds like you were lucid, albeit for only a few seconds. Congrats on breaking the dry spell anyway.

Sometimes when LDing we don't get the experiences or results we want however as long as you keep trying it should become easier.

Yes, it sounds like you was lucid for a moment. The only question you need to ask yourself is whether you fully realized that you was dreaming or just think that it might be a dream.

Anyway, I really envy you for having experienced sleep paralysis. I've never experienced it but I'd really like to
