I Was Flying Through a Green Sky!

Woohooo!!! I'm so excited!!! I took a nap this afternoon and had a awesome LD!!! I was dreaming along and I don’t remember anything until I was suddenly standing in a housing complex. There were a bunch of normal houses and I was standing alone in the middle of the road looking up at them. One of the houses was a huge yellow cake! Then I looked up at the sky and noticed the clouds were wispy and yellow and the sky was green!!!! I got so excited that I was lucid I decided I was gunna try to fly. I pushed off the ground a little scared at first. When I realized I was flying I went higher. I could see the city below me and the ocean out in the distance. I got a little carried away then and decided to do a back-flip. At that point I was falling and fast. I never hit the ground the dream just faded out so I decided to start all over. I willed myself back to the housing complex. Everything was the same, the huge yellow cake, the green sky and everything! I took off again and decided I would fly to Oklahoma. I thought I would take the scenic rout because I was following the coast. I soon realized that the coast was on the wrong side and I must be going north. I turned around and started to fly south when i realized Oklahoma was to damn far for me to fly there! I decided to do another back-flip and pulled it off beautifully. I felt so free. The dream faded and I woke up... or so I thought. I got up and made a phone call, hung up before anyone answered and then went to get something out of the cupboard. I then realized I was sleeping and got back in bed and everything got fuzzy (wish I had done something more fun!!). I tried to wake up again and had another false awakening where I actually wrote in my dream journal. Then in the waking world my dog jumped on my bed and I realized I was still not awake (I actually was thinking in my dream... Damn it dog I'm in the middle of a dream!). When I actually did wake up, I looked for my dream journal on my bed but it was still lying on my bed side table! It was so real... SOOOOO FUN!!!! Woot! my first flying dream and I felt so in control!!! LD's ROCK!!!! I was so tired when i was went to sleep but maybe the pepsi i drank right before I took a nap helped!!! I can't wait to have another one!!!! I don't see how this could ever get boring! hehe yippee!!!

Congrats!!! as some have said, flying rules! RedStar, don't sweat it... one day you'll just have an incredible LD out of the blue. I guarantee it.

That is a pretty cool dream, and the whole back flip thing sounds amazing.... Which method did you use to achieve lucidity? It sounds like you had pretty high control over everything in your dream, even making yourself go back to the same place when your dream faded.

Well I drank a can of Pepsi before I went to sleep... hehe is that a method? So far I have not been able to induce LD's. I just happen upon them. This one is the first I have had where I've had so much control. I just remember seeing a huge cake where a house was supposed to be and I was thinking "Rock!!! I'm Lucid" and I took off! Maybe the more LD's I have I will start to see a pattern on how I am achieving them...

That is a method, called SPILD: Soda Pop Induced Lucid Dream.... It must have given you some sort of sugar high, if you were having delusions about houses made of cake and such All kidding aside, I have heard that coke, and others, that have caffein will make you become more aware or conscious in dreams...I don't like coke much but I'll try whatever I have to...

wow that sounds so fantastic! nice to see positivity creating an awesome lucid experience! the yellow clouds and green sky sound so interesting, LDs can have such bizarre and vivid colors sometimes. nothing better than enjoying a nap like that! just say 'yes' to more afternoon naps I wish I could nap at work...

Yeah that dream is very cool. I was thinking the same thing as CT, wondering if maybe you were on Namek..haha. You didn't happent to watch any DBZ before going to sleep did ya? Just curious. Anyway I believe green within a dream within an abundance like what you were experiencing indicates recovery.. Did you or someone you know heal from something recently like physically or emontionally? Just wondering.

I am healing emotionally from a difficult breakup... or maybe it's that my dad will heal from his accident. I had the dream before he was hurt so I think it is more me healing. Ack but I hope my dad heals well! I don't want him to have to get a full hip replacement!!!!

More than likely your emotionally recovering for your break-up and your dad will make a full recovery, Maybe thats why it was such a vast area of Green definition and not limited.
