      First LD

      Yey!

I'm pretty sure I got lucid tonight, I think I had a false awakening and when I opened my eyes I realised I was still dreaming.

I was standing at the corner of our house and when I got lucid I remembered techniques to stabilize it (feeling stuff). I felt the wall of the house and then I felt the bark on a tree. The tree started growing and dragging me up into the sky. I guess it kinda freaked me out, because I was losing awareness about the situation and just let everything happen. I'm not even sure what happened after.

Still the road ahead is long, my dream journal isn't as detailed and regular as I'd like it to be. I'm still not able to recognise my dreams and apparantly I'm not too good at prolonging lucidity either.

Let's hope 2012 brings all beginners out there some progress

edit: Probably worth mentioning: I picked up LaBerge's book yesterday and just before bed listened to the CD about awareness and visualising how a dream would look like.

I'm surprised no one's posted in this yet.
Congratulations! Good job on remembering to stabalise~ Many people in their first lucid dreams are too busy being shocked by achieving the state to remember their dream goals.

      Keep it up!
In regards to the book; i recently purchased it too. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

Any questions about lucid dreaming? Drop me a PM here!

Thanks ! I'm still pre-occupied with exams (about a month left), so all I can really do is keep my dream journal. But once I have some more spare time and a cleaner mind, I'll plunge in completely.
