I just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself. I had my 2nd LD last night. I had my first in 1997. I gave up after not getting a repeat soon after my first. The one I had last night was out of the blue. I woke up at 2:00 a.m., took some sleep aid to go back to sleep, and suddenly realized I was dreaming. The only bad part is that I had very little control over my actions. I felt paralyzed and couldn't move. The dream was also very gray and grim. Finally I managed to roll out of bed, but fell and landed on the ceiling. From that point on the dream was very colorful and vivid. Luckily, and amazingly, I was able to stay asleep and lucid for quite some time. It was an amazing expereince even though I didn't do much or leave my bedroom. The color were amazing and the shapes were so perfectly geometical. It was amazing. I was actually focused enough to 'try' different things, but I pretty much was stuck on the ceiling just looking down at my room....and especially the large fish tank in beside my bed. I thought if I developed a plan, I would shake myself out of the paralyzed state I was in. I decided NOT to try fly ing because when I had my first LD in '97, that caused me to jerk and wake up. I decided to try (I din't realize how many people do this) to have sex, but couldn't make a partner 'materialize'. I guess I didn't have a clue who it would be with. I now have someone in mind so hopefully I can try it next time. I am just afraid it may be another 6 years before I have the chance. I am starting my reality checks again, and I'm going to try to start a dream journal. I never was good at sticking to that. Well, that's it. |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
Welcome to the board. |

Hey you two...since we introduced ourselves yesterday....read my post about my dreams I had last night. I think my medication is causing me to dream more vividly...I don't know if I am looing forward to tonight, or dreading it. Last night was just too much! |

What are you taking? if you dont mind revealing that information. |

Hey...yeah, sure...I am taking Atarax. I am convinced it is causing me to dream heavier. I guess tonight will tell if last night was fluke or if what. Do you dream like that all night? Is that normal? Maybe I'm just not used to it. |

I would look at it as a good thing that your having more dreams you recall. IF you find no dreams after a period of time stop the drug and you will probably notice dreams come back. Drugs are strange and so is the mind. One thing i have noticed is that change in your self whether its mental or physical can stimulate more intense dreams. |
