1st LD! First night of trying, wow.

Had my 1st LD last night. I don't remember everything but I am astounded because this was my very first night of trying. I read the introduction manual by Puffin (thanks for the suggestion, Mancon) just before going to sleep and I was sure I was going to have one last night so I guess that turned out to work. Anyways, here's my best attempt to recount the dream...sorry if it's quite long. I was captured by some men along with two of my cousins. I believe this was a WILD. I remember entering the dream by imagining I was one of my cousins as I fell back asleep. I was Jeffrey and this makes perfect sense because my other two cousins in the dream are his two brothers Joey and Jeremy. To start out the dream, I was sinking into his body as I fell asleep,. I became shivery and a little cold when I fest realized it had worked. My first thought was to ground myself in the dream so I started touching things. I rubbed my fingers in the grass and dirt. I was mildly concerned about waking up due to my shivering but I guess I calmed down and relaxed soon because I stayed in the dream. We were captured by some men and they were leading us into some cave, presumably a holding cell of some sort. We were on a grassy hill with a white picket fence running along it. The hill was located along the edge of a large lake, across which I could see the moon reflecting in its surface. At the entrance to the cave was a beehive and the first man that tried to enter got stung a few times and ran off and the leader had him killed for his weakness. I took this as a distraction and tried to make use of the fact that I knew I was dreaming and conjured up two guns. I don’t remember the exact moment they appeared but one moment we had nothing and the next me and one of my cousins were holding guns. I also don’t remember using them against the men but similarly, one moment we were captives and the next moment, it was only us three alone on the lakeside hill. I wanted to test out a few tricks so I threw my gun on the ground and took a few steps away. I then turned around and reached my hand out towards the gun. It didn’t move. It stayed perfectly still and my cousin began walking towards it to pick it up. Then, just as he was bending down for it, I kind of pulsed my hand as if to send a new wave of force at the gun and it zipped straight into my grasp. All three of us were amazed. I don’t ever remember speaking to them but I somehow communicated because I told them I wanted to try something. I pointed the gun at my younger cousin (the cousin I am playing is the middle child of 3) and fired the gun. As I expected, the bullets came out in slow motion with the matrix-style motion waves around them. Jeremy was able to dodge the bullets, adding some flair by moving like Neo did in the movie. I then pointed and fired at my older cousin Joey. The bullets were still in slow motion but for some reason Joey was not a proficient dodger and one bullet struck each of his legs. However, I don’t ever recall him bleeding or even me going to check if he was okay so he must have made a miraculous dream recovery. At this point I seem to remember the other two becoming jealous that I could control the dream and they began chasing me. I feel like I may have flown to avoid them catching me but I’m not certain. The details start becoming hazy around this point. The next thing I remember doesn’t seem to connect to my dream and I think I had lost lucidity. We were in a dark barn/storage building and it had about 20 body bags in it. Somebody said that we had to perform cavity searches on the corpses, something I did not want to do at all. I chose simply to watch the others. It was quite spooky and it was very dark and poorly lit. Not sure at all where that came from of if it was part of a whole new dream that I can only partially recall. Anyhow, the lucid dream experience was incredible and I definitely felt a rush when I sank into the dream and realized that I had done it. I probably should remember to perform more reality checks to remind me I’m dreaming as I didn’t perform any and may have forgotten that I was in control. Regardless, it was awesome and I need to start going over a list of things to try so that I remember to try them while I’m dreaming. As far as how I got into the dream, in the few seconds I was awake, a thought entered my head that if I entered a dream as somebody else and looked up at the sky as I sank into their body, I would for sure enter a dream and be aware I was dreaming. No idea where the thought came from but it worked beautifully. Definitely interesting.
