      Strange Experiance: Pain

Hi. I just recently have been viewing the site, because LDing interested me. Anyway, On to my experiance...

I fell asleep two nights ago, and I became aware that I was dreaming. I conjoured up a few things such as people and items for awhile. Then I began to grow tired, so I fell asleep in my dream... Which seems impossible to me now, but at that time it seemed OK. Well, when I woke up, I was still in my dream. I'm beginning to get freaked out, because I thought i'd have woken up by now. I don't know why now, but I began running. I must have ran three kilo's by the time I stopped, and I wasn't tired. Now the grounds breaks apart under me. I am falling, and there are rocks beneath me. Very sharp rocks. I aim for them, hoping I will either hover or wake up from excitement. But no. I keep falling, and I land on the rock, the tip going through my stomach. I feel relieved that i'll be waking up, but I didn't. Soon after, I realize that I was numb before and I become aware of the pain going through me. I try to float off it, but it won't happen. I finally wake up maybe an hour later.

The whole reason I post this topic is to find out why this happened, and what I can do to prevent it in the future. I am scared to go to sleep now.

that is a bit strange...cuz in dreams u are suppose to never feel pain...so my only suggestion is--and im not an expert--but no matter what..when you become Lucid..tell yourself you cant feel no pain..you are the RULER of your dream and nothing bad is going to happen to you..cuz you have to get it in your head, that it's not only a dream...its your dream...you should be in control....and that YOU CANT FEEL PAIN....

i hope this helps you so u aint scared of going to sleep

That's wierd, because i've always been able to feel pain.
Even pain from things i've never felt, i've felt gunshots in my dreams, but not in reality.(In my dreams, they burn, in a wierd way.)

      First Welcome to DVs!!!!!

It's normal not to feel pain.
Now, Delvis when you wake up you perceive this dream as a nightmare? If you do so, soon enough it will end. Maybe you undergo an illness or have stress these days. You may try some relaxation exercises before you sleep.

Remember ! You can use a recurring dream to trigger a LD!

Just the opposite for me. I once had a dream where I was tending to yard sale and some gangstas pulled up with machine guns. My first instinct was to run... when I did they shot me several times in the back. I fell to the ground... but I wasn't in pain. I remember screaming for help in my dream. I then woke up and I could actually feel a sort of pressure/tingling sensation in my back where the bullets hit. It didn't hurt, but it felt very strange.

Well, we've all had experiences that shake us. It's the nature of the dreamworld, not all will go as planned or hoped.

Feeling pain is common in LDs, not all people feel it but many of us do.

However experiences like this are few and far between, I wouldn't worry about it.
These are the tears that I dream about...
