So i have been out of the lucid dreaming thing for a while now. Not that i was particularly awesome at it, but i have had a few, just not in a while. A few of them were what i considered to be WILDs. Lately I have just been trying to improve my dream recall so I can jump back into lucid dreaming again.

I woke up after a good 5 hours sleep, got up to use the toilet, got a drink of water, etc. Went to lay back in bed. I was laying for about 20 minutes or so and I was getting frustrated because I couldn't fall asleep. I got up for another drink of water. At this point I was really startin to feel tired so I figured i'd try it again. In about 5 minutes i dozed off, and I fell into the transition of a lucid dream; it felt like a hallucinogenic rollercoaster ride hehe. Intense.

So after that, I ended up in a forest world, where I felt the presence of a giant wolf following me. I remember jumping thousands of feet into the air, to get away from the wolf, but to also spot his location. I then felt terrified once the wolf jumped thousands of feet into the air with me trying to me hunt down! This all felt a little hazy, and didn't feel like a vivid lucid dream like I remember. Plus I barely had control here, but I do remember consciously trying to look for this wolf character. Then things got different. The wolf vanished, things started to feel a lot more vivid, and I felt like I was truly in a vivid lucid dream.

I barely even did anything in this dream. THe only thing I wanted to do was explore. I didn't really even care about trying any special powers or anything, though at one point I tried to shoot lightning out of my hands like a mage or something, but it failed. I tried once, and moved on, since I felt like my real goal here was to explore this forest world. I remember a bunch of "bandits" running around the forest like they were up to no good. Then specifically, I remember seeing my real life friend here. I looked at him intensely, studying him really. I was just amazed at how realistic he looked, the clothes he wore and everything. At this point, I said to myself in this dream..."I have to remember all of this. I HAVE to." So yeah basically I can't remember much more than this. The forest scenery kinda just disappeared, and I ended up in an apartment that I used to live in years ago. I looked around thinking to myself, "Wow I haven't seen this place in years!"

I figured my dream was going to end soon, so i figured I would explore some more while I can. i was wandering the apartment when suddenly blasting on a radio from somewhere Tom Petty's "Mary Jane" started playing lol. I was just thinking what the hell where is this coming from. I wanted to turn it off, as I don't care for this song too much. I found the radio it was coming from, and as soon I tried to skip the soon the dream faded. Like turning off an old tv, the image stayed in my mind for a second, then I opened up my eyes to the real world, of me laying in my bed. I felt strange, definitely don't wake up like this with any other dream, so i knew i had a full blown lucid. Only problem was, what seemed like a dream that lasted hours, i could barely remember 2 minutes of it. So much for having to remember all of it

So i was just wondering, do you ever have lucid dreams where you wake from, and wonder if it truly was lucid? I think mine was, problem is I can't remember even most of it. What i told here was barely the tip of the iceberg. So i think it was a lucid dream. Three things stand out to me that make me think so: The transition was a typical lucid transition, the feeling of being transported to another world, the second thing was in the middle of the dream was me looking around, baffled at the realism of it all, and telling myself I HAVE to remember all of this, plus me trying to consciously shoot lightning out of my hands, which failed though, and the third was the way I woke up, which wasn't typical of waking up from a regular dream. I just remember waking up, feeling completely wide-awake, and excited that I had a lucid dream. So what do you think? Was it a true lucid dream and what kind? It felt kind of on the WILD side to me, but the thing that threw me off was the less vivid whole wolf scenario Sorry for the long rambling, I'm just still wondering about this experience, which was amazing to say the least, but its been on my mind since I woke up, and I could greatly use some input. Thanks
