      First LD - Best recall in a long time

      Hey guys!

      Had my first LD ever last night! Just going to start with a tiny bit of background:

      I've always been terrible at either dreaming in general, or dream recall. It felt like I hadn't dreamed in months or even years. It could be to do with the fact that I hardly ever sleep as much as I should.

      Let me know what you think of what I saw, and if you have any insight into any of the dream signs, or what you think of my FA (if that's what it was). It transitioned straight from LD into being awake in the same location/place/time, felt kinda strange.

      Also, a lot happened in the dream world from when I first woke at 5am to when I woke again at 5:10am.

      Another quick note, my alarm was set for 3:30am to try and WILD/WBTB but I don't remember waking up then or trying either.

      Also, I've been on here for I think about 3 or 4 days now, and have tried a couple of times to LD with no success (FILD/WILD/WBTB)

      Also, I should probably do this!

      Also, anywhere you see <snip> means I don't really remember anything in between.

      Anyway...

      ON TO THE DREAMS!

      27/10/2012 - 5am - DILD

      I remember riding my motorbike (road bike) in a place that had a petrol station with fluorescent lights, and I seem to remember as looking like Las Vegas. Bike was sputtering and having issues but I didn't think to pull over and get fuel. I looked down at my hand, expecting to see my gloves, instead seeing mangled looking fingers, realising I was dreaming, I looked at the digital clock on the bike and saw it changing and displaying gibberish, confirming I was dreaming. I decided to dump my bike (I would NEVER do this in real life, still surprised I did it in the dream ) and tried to jump to initiate flight, but instead woke up in my bed, looking over at my clock to confirm I was awake, seeing a solid 5am on the clock.

      <snip>

      I fell back asleep and started dreaming about reuniting with school friends, one of them was really upset at the other one for some unknown reason.

      <snip>

      I was at work, and got asked whether I would like to go and see the boss of one of our customers in America with one of the sales guys, and I said yes (I've never been to America). I was preparing myself for a long flight, but hadn't packed anything yet, and hadn't told anybody, but then realised it was probably a video conference instead of flying all the way there, feeling a bit stupid. My boss (Professional Services) was angrily asking why all of his staff had enough time to be attending sales meetings

      <snip>

      I was in a newsroom kind of place, watching the show on the huge projector on the wall, showing a segment about the popularity of past American presidents. For some reason, Kevin Rudd (past Australian Prime Minister) was on the show being shown how he was popular for how good he looked as Santa Claus, a picture of him shown with Christmas decorations covering his face.

      <snip>

      27/10/2012 - 5:10am - FA?

      Woke up and felt really groggy, looked down at my hand, finding that they were really blurry and seemed almost non-existent. Realised I was dreaming, and tried to move to get out of bed, but it felt really difficult and I couldn't move. Next second my hand appears in front of me in the same position with all fingers/details restored. Looking at the clock I realise it's 5:10am, and I'm not longer dreaming.

      Thanks for reading guys! Let me know what you think
      Also, is there a problem with posting here as opposed to DJ? I kind of like the idea of being able to ask questions sometimes, or discussing my dreams with other people

      EDIT: Also, I have a FitBit Ultra, which allows you to track your steps/activity, but also can track your sleep and moments of awakening/etc. I haven't been using it in a while, but do you think It would be interesting to see how my body movements line up with my dreams?
