Hi, everyone! New to the board... :-)

Some things I notice about my lucid dreams (most of them):

1) Many times in my dreams I get lost in a place that keeps changing when I really need to get somewhere or find something urgent. It's very frustrating...

For instance, just the other night I was dreaming that my husband and I took our infant daughter to a theme park, and I went to another part of the park. (In my waking life I am single and don't have any children, just f.y.i.) I left our daughter with my husband, who was playing video games in an arcade. When I came back to the arcade, my husband didn't have our child with him. He had left her with someone (no one we knew) so he could concentrate. As you can imagine, I was quite angry... anyhow, he and I were headed back to go pick her up (they were in one of the buildings and were watching a group of children). The sun was going down and they were getting ready for some type of parade. We couldn't find the building! For hours we ran around and couldn't find it anywhere! It was gone!

Another time I was negotiating for someone's life, and the kidnappers wanted an object that I had, so I went to go and get it, but I couldn't get there. Things kept happening everytime I got on the right track, so that my time ran out and I had to wake myself up because the person was going to get killed! I HATE when this happens. I can't seem to change these things when they start to go wrong.

2) Objects/people/locations keep flickering into other things after I set them up. For example:

I'll be having a romantic moment with Johnny Depp, and he turns into my sister! I REALLY HATE THAT!!! *vomit*

I'll be carrying something important to the plot of my dream, and when I look at it, it will be something different entirely.

I guess the dreams start turning normal, with people and objects from your everyday life filling the roles. (Ugh.) Trying to change these things back after they've changed is almost always so hard that I wake myself up to start over, especially when it's something REALLY unpleasant (MY SISTER!!! JEEZ.... *puke*)

Sound familiar to anyone?
