      Feelings of anger

First of all this is my first post. I figured I’d join simply because lucid dreams have always intrigued me, and have always seemed to be a fairly regular occurrence.

Anyway, anger. Occasionally when I have a lucid dream I will have some uncontrollable anger or frustration. Usually it has to do with what happened that day, or even things I had seen on the news.

Its not so much the anger that gets me, because I’m generally not an angry person, its just the feeling in the dream. It feels like this energy is coursing through me, forcing its way out. If the energy is concentrated on a DC the DC is wrent asunder. Completely torn apart, usually creating a crater like impression.

This is very rare occurrence and very strange because I don’t will myself to physical harm to the DC its just as if there is no other way to release the energy.

Well, I was wondering what other peoples emotions are like in dreams, in mine they always seem much more vivid and usually affect the world according to the emotion I am feeling. For example, sadness usually brings floods from my tears, happiness and joy is in the form of a celebration and general warmth.

How is it for the rest of you?
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

      Hey! Welcome to the Forum!
I think that you could be suffering night rages..(happened alot through middle school). In a night rage, you end up destroying everything w/seemingly endless anger & have no way to control it...the best thing to do is to try to remain calm in a LD so that never happens.
My emotions remain neutral....I usually do not allow them to take control of the LD!

I’m pretty sure I’m not having night rages, simply because they rarely happen and its not just anger in which I have these types of dreams. Its more of a personification of an emotion in my dream. They don’t take control of my lucid dream, but I often allow them to run their course, just because they usual have a calming effect afterwards.

I was mainly wondering what shapes, if any, your emotions take in a dream. They usually have interesting outcomes. For example, If in a dream my father dies I will have immense grief and pain, and even though I know that he didn’t really die, I realize that this is the grief I would have if he really did die. After this kind of experience, I will have a great love for my father the next day.

That’s why I let my emotions go in a dream, they clear my mind, and are actually fun to behold. Joy and love just make me feel generally warm, so I let them go, and I’m usually better for it when I wake up.

That is good you let your emotions go in a LD, & not at someone else in real time!

Hi starswarm, Welcome to Dream Views!

So you are talking about emotions in lucid dreams or regular dreams? It kinda sounds like you are talking about regular dreams. If they are lucid and you are having unwanted feelings you can always try to take control of them or like you said let them just play out because it is just a dream after all. I don't think you are experiencing dream rage but it was a good suggestion nesgirl!

I often have very strong feelings in dreams that affect my waking life. My sadness usually manifests itself in violence. I am not usually the violent one but violent things are happening in the world or to people that I love. I know they are just dreams though and they do not affect me that much. Happiness usually comes out in my dreams in acts of sex, feelings of love or a general normal feelings. Dreaming can be so fun.

I hope to hear more about your dreaming experiences!!! If you need anything feel free to PM me!!!
