Everything melted away... :[ Am I lucid Dreaming?

Hi, I'm new here by the way, pretty sweet that i found this site.
I have tried for a long time to be able to acheive LD, and am not quite sure if i have ever ACTUALLY experienced it.

I have had a dream a long time ago where this thing was chasing me through a hotel, the biggest hotel ever apparently with different country themed rooms. I Was in the Africa room when the thing has almost caught up with me and i stopped, and realized that outside the window was nothing, absolutely nothing, and i knew i was dreaming. I went into a closet and there was a maid hiding in the corner behind some stuff, and i needed to hide so i litterally pushed my way through her and hid in the SAME exact spot as her, weird.
I kept thinking "This is a dream and that thing is NOT going to see us. So i didnt see it, but i felt that it looked in the room and didnt see us, it was really quite scary. after that i climbed a ladder which i knew was hidden and led me to the security room that controlled the thing that stalked the hallways and i asked this... very... attractive person...to stop... then i figured why the heck not, and there was a bed, you get the idea.

Dont know what the deal with that was, i dont know if i just was able to remember it so vividly or if i really had no control whatsoever... i thought i did.

      Anyways...
recently i had a few dreams dreams where i felt that i was aware.
One, there was a square on bedroom door that wasnt supposed to be there. kinda silly, and the door led to a room which was in my old house. I screamed "This is not my house!!" panicked and woke up.

Most recently I had a dream and i dont recall it entirely but once i said outloud "This is a dream" everything started getting droopy... and looking like it was kind of starting to melt.
And i was so freaked out i would run over to whatever it was, for instance the arm of the couch and would push it back up and some guy i kinda pushed his face back to normal.
After it started happening to almost everything around me and i started screaming "NO NO NO NO STOP IT!" And everything stopped, and went back to normal. And i felt so in control at that point, and i dont know, i freaked out and woke up.

I just have such awful nightmares, and constantly waking up from a dream and its not a dream and its another nightmare i just want to put a stop to it and experience the amazingness of what our minds can do.

TL,DR : I don't know whats going on after i close my eyes at night but its definitely strange. I just want to know if what i am experiencing occasionally is lucid dreaming or if there is a whole nother world out there that will blow my mind.

P.S. There was once a dream that i flew around on a vaccuum and it was AWESOME and i was flying all over collecting rocks to fuel the vaccuum so i could fly more.
But i'm kinda hoping im doing something wrong and that lucid dreaming is much more than... collecting rocks to power my vaccum.

It sounds like u r lucid but not quite in control of it yet, stop doubting so much when u become lucid in a dream, u already know what it feels like, things melt cause its probably the 1st way that comes to your subconscience to cause thing to stop, in the beginning when I didn't know how to control it yet, things would just freeze and dissappear and suddenly I was in a world all alone
