Dry Spell Finally Broken. 3 LD's And Succesful Experiments

To be honest I'd almost given up on lucid dreaming. I'd had a few 15 second dreams a while ago but I'd had almost no control. It sucked. So anyway, this morning, I wasn't expecting much and got 3 lucid dreams out of nowhere. The first one I was chasing a bus (something that kept repeating itself all last night / this morning ) and after getting tired thought "If this was a dream, I could just fly to the next stop". All of a sudden I'm flying. I land and it clicks that I'm dreaming. The excitment was too much an about a minute later I woke up. I did manage to get a lot more control over my flying than the last lucid dream I tried it in though. After that I had a dream I was on a bus talking to a friend telling her about the LD. She started laughing hysterically and told me we were in a dream now. I was shocked and woke up. Later in the morning I became lucid in a house (don't remember how, I just seemed to realise). I tried some voice commands and as usual my voice sounded really weak and feeble. They worked though and everything became really clear. It didn't last though and everything went dark really quickly. I wasn't going to be stopped though and I started to spin (I was amazed how real the movement felt now my vision was gone) and told myself the next thing I'd see would be a dream. I ended up in the house again but didn't seem to realise I was dreaming, I was playing with a remote control trying to input the right code to take me back to the dream (don't ask, I don't know) before I realised I was already there. Became lucid and did voice commands. For the first time my voice sounded clear, confident and loud and the effects went through the roof. I ran up some stairs and expected someone to be in the first room I went in. They were. I woke up before i could talk to them though. This was a big morning for me because a lot of the things i managed to do (talking properly, having my commands work, spinning and making someone be in a room when I expected it, controlling my flight) never worked for me before or I plain never remembered to do them. Also, I've never had this many LD's so close together. I'm so hooked on LD'ing again now, I should never have doubted it EDIT: I forgot to say, I put it down to visualisation. I've been ritually doing really vivid visualisation as I fall asleep and it had a massive effect on my dream recall lately. I think it did the same for the lucid dreaming.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that you became aware that you were dreaming by having someone tell you that you were dreaming. That seems to definately suggest that you were interacting with a fellow dreamer. Anyway, I have never really tried too many experiments. I have found that most of the time if I expect to find someone in a room before I walk in there, they will be there.

[/b] not necessarily. people in dreams are unpredictable, just as people in reality are. hey Bluedini, I'm real happy for you. ^_^ , I was playing with a remote control trying to input the right code to take me back to the dream (don't ask, I don't know) [/b] along time ago...before I even knew about lucid dreaming, I was in this dream...I was freaked out and I wanted to wake up. the way I was to wake up was to take a book and flip the pages over and over. so...you're not the only one who;s experienced something odd like that. why does that happen anyway? those methods are completely idiotic! appearently...we weren;t very conscious. hm.

Why is it that we ignore total obscure things? Sometimes things are a complete contradiction.

I really wish I knew. I knew it was a dream, otherwise I wouldn't have been trying to wake myself up. so I had to have been a little conscious. I just don't get it!

Sometimes things are a complete contradiction.[/b] Our brain works like this: IF brain = $LEEP WHERE $LEEP <> LUCID THEN :retardMode(); ON Seriously, I think some parts of our brain are not working when we're sleeping, but wake em up when we become lucid... (or not, because then people keep doing stupid stuff... )

Its true that not every brain function is active right away, right? But you can activate it. I thought I read it on lucidity.com so it must be in paperdolls bible...

yeah I'm re-reading it, I'm on chapter 3 I think. I hadn't read it since I bought it, and that was probably half a year ago.
