did it once, can't get it back!

i had my first lucid dream a few weeks ago - i was so excited! unfortunately i haven't been able to achieve lucidity again. i've had a few dreams where i may have been on the verge (underlying feeling that the situations were strange), but couldn't quite "wake up."

i was under the impression that once i did it, it would be fairly easy to do it again. once i learned about lucid dreaming it only took me about a week and a half to achieve lucidity. now it's been weeks since i had that first one. is this common?

This is very common. For me it was anyway im not trying to speak for all but for me it was in the beginning when I recall similar experiences trying to reach the lucidity. Seems like we all get extremely excited the instant we reach our lucid dream state in a struggle to keep it going. It takes patience. Instead remain calm check it out slow until you are comfortable with it then the rest is up to you.

I dont try to have the dreams just be ready when you do have them its about awareness.

      Peace Out

For me it was kind of the same. I started in the summer and I was very excited. For the first week I did things like questioning the situation. on the tenth day I had a very short lucid dream. I have a question for you curious. You said it was true for you to. Well I haven't had a lucid dream since the summer (I'v had cases in which I asked myself if I was dreaming though but I didn't become lucid) and I wanted to know how long it took you to get your next lucid dream after that.
