      Disturbing RC!

So, in this dream, I was in my friends mom's car and we had to go to school and it was rather late. My friends mom, in reality, tends to drive kinda fast and sometimes the laws of driving dont mean much to her, if you know what I mean and this dream wasn't the exception.

So she's driving rather fast and she goes right by a parked truck and suddenly, out of nowhere a huge truck that transports fuel goes right by, between the truck and the car and I noticed it only had one line of wheels! Kinda like a motorcycle! And in the dream I thought "No! Impossible!" and I told everyone in the car that that couldnt be. They all agreed and suddenly it hit me. I must be dreaming.

Just to make sure, I looked at my hands as a RC. I noticed I had six fingers and I thought "hmm... that can't be right" and then I noticed that one finger was shorter than the rest and that it was my thumb, but it was where my middle finger should of been.

I realized inmediately I was dreaming and with this sudden awareness I found that the sight of my bizarre and deformed hand was very disturbing and I woke up inmediately.

I RCed when I woke up, just to be sure and I had in fact woken up.

What can I do to avoid this disturbing sensation? Its waking me up and it has already happened twice. I started doing the looking at my hands RC cuz I found that the pinching my nose RC wasn'y that effective since it didnt work once, so Im trying a new set of RCs.

Often I dream of some strange vehicles with only one or two wheels. At lest you took note to it being unusual. My first reality check that worked well was to look at an analog clock. If you can find one it probably won’t have the numbers in the correct location. The one I saw had the 5 at the bottom where the 6 should be.
Ps once you know you are dreaming, try rubbing your hands together as if to keep worm. It helped me stay in a dream when I remembered to do it.

And try not to focus too much on your hands!
Just use them as a reality check, don't study them...Heh.
Anyway, having 6 fingers seems very usual, that's what happens for me all the time too.
      Why 6?

I dunno, but it creeps the hell outta me, so Im gonna discontinue that RC and im gonna try a different sequence. Im thinking about going like this:

      1. Re-read something to see if it warps.
      2. Pinch my nose and try and breath.
      3. (Just in case) Look at my hands.

So, I'll see how it works out.

      Damn that freaky hand!

My favorite reality check is flying by my own power. I trained myself to recognize with absolute certainty that if I can do that, I am unquestionably dreaming. Plus, floating and flying aroung are great things to do once you are lucid.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
