Wow. 13 years is a long time. I didn't have such an experience yet, but this sounds truly amazing! If you're coming back, like he asked you to, I'd love to read your experience. |

Hi, I'm new here. I've been lucid dreaming for years, but didn't understand it until about 5 years ago. Its happened as and when and I've usually just flown off to an orgy! Lately tho, my dreams ( lucid & non lucid) have become more intense. I have a huge 'dream library' and sometimes choose my favourites for comfort. The lD's this last 6months have come thick and fast, some asked for, some not. Many relate to my late husband. This morning I had two. The first was a 'tester'. I met a woman called Ginger who took me to a bar in a place I've been before. She told me this was dream central. I told her I wanted to meet David. He has come to me twice before but I was very frightened and woke myself up before I looked at him. She seemed to know all this and said that I should go to him instead. I woke up, confused a bit frightened, but decided to try. Went straight back to sleep, and 'woke' in bed, in a familiar dream. It was singularly the most vivid vision I've ever had. I asked a woman getting into her car if she new Ginger. She didn't so I got out of bed, took my feet off the ground and floated through the very normal looking scene. Then I saw him. He wasn't expecting me, but he greeted me warmly and we hugged. He told me he was very happy. We talked more and he asked me to come back. I'm overwhelmed! David died nearly 13 years ago. I just had to tell someone! I've never been to dream central before and although I needed money for the bar, I found I had some! |

Robert Waggoner talks about contacting deceased people in lucid dreams. I believe it is entirely possible! I bet that was a beautiful dream to have. |

After few days of reflection, I think that perhaps this dream wasn't quite as lucid as I've previously experienced. It has stayed with me tho, and intrigues me still. I would like to thank the person who replied and mentioned Robert W. I have downloaded this book and feel compelled to learn more and to hopefully understand more about this strange but compelling phenomenon. I hope to be a regular visitor to this wonderful place at least! Many thanks. (Thanks to Marce) |

I have met my deceased father in dreams, and the dreams always get extremely vivid as soon as I see him. It's like a lucid dream, but I don't necessarily realize I'm dreaming. In fact, dreaming or dreams in general are the last thing on my mind when I see my father, because I'm just so in awe and happy to see him. It's hard to describe, but when I see my father in a dream, it almost seems more real than waking life somehow. I become so absorbed in the moment with him that those dreams become impossible to differentiate from reality, besides the fact that my father is there. |

Thanks to 10mesp. It really is pleasing to get points of identification with another person. You mentioned the vividness of the dream; something I can't ever recall experiencing before. May I share another experience, which did disturb me some weeks ago, but why I think I was possibly taken to see David? |

This happened to me as well. In another forum, which is in my mother tongue, we call him "The Visitor". Sometimes while WILDing I can hear someone walking around the house. One time I woke up and there has been a tall woman with a red wedding dress in my room. |

Thank you KlarTraeumer, another example of not being alone with this. I must admit that this did frighten me very much and stayed with me for days. It's interesting that you took courage and actually saw the visitor. I've tried to put some sense and a timeline into my night visions, but I suspect that this might be a waste of time! Since my dream of my late husband, I can't recall a single dream, but I'm not surprised. The dreams leave me exhausted for the following day so I'm guessing that restorative sleep must be needed. Thank you for your reply. I would love to know more about this 'visitor' you talk about. Have you met him/her during the day? I wish I was braver! |
|
No I didn't see him during the day. It's just a hallucination of different persons, who sometimes show up while I enter or leave the dream state. So my mind is like mixing up dream and reality. But I haven't had it for a while now and I kinda miss it. It's scary in the moment you experience it, but it's so fascinating when you're awake and you think about how real it felt. |

This is indeed a puzzle. I don't think I've experienced sleep paralysis, but can't be sure. I'm reading Robert Waggoner at the mo, but would be interested to read others in this genre. My biggest regret is that I didn't lay and see who that hand belonged to! I have had a dream about being in my bed since, but it was horrible and frightened me again. Do you have any references via literature regarding this 'visitor'? I thought is was my late husband, but now not so sure. The more I read and learn, the more questions I have ... Thank you KlarTraeumer for your kind and sincere replies. |

I don't think there is a literature about this phenomenon. Probably because it's not very common. (only LDers) |
