      first ld since joining

I had only one other ever before, I think it was in 2001. So his is my second one ever.

Anyway, it's not a great one. It was quite fuzzy and only lasted a minute or so. But still!

My alarm went off at 7:30, but fridays I have no classes so I rolled over and went back to sleep. I woke up about an hour later.

I don’t remember any of the dream before becoming lucid, so I don’t know what tipped me off. I was in a library, probably the university library, listening to something important. I felt like I was nodding off. I backed away from the group and took in my surroundings. I tried to remember some stuff from the website, but all I couldn’t remember anything interesting to try. Except for dream spinning, but I wasn’t going to do that (because I tried it in a non-LD last week and it woke me up).
I tried a bit lamely to change my environment, but nothing happened. I felt bad, like I should really stay and listen, but I wandered into the next room. It was the bit of the library with books in. I walked around, saw a few people. I could feel myself beginning to wake up, and so I located a hot dream person and started trying to make out with them.

I had a little bit of a non-lucid moment where I dreamed I was in the library later telling my friend about the experience. For some reason I told her that there had been wolves in the library at the time. Woke up.

Hopefully they will get better from now on

      Congratulations!
If you are not sure what you are going to do, try before you sleep writing down what you want to do, it helps me stay on task when I am lucid.

Yes, I think it'd be nice just to talk to people. I didn't think of it at the time though, I don't think I was 100% in control of myself. And I was worried about waking up.

It's definatley on my adgenda for the next time I have one. Have normal everyday conversation with fictional person

I tried that in a dream last night myself. I was on the bus, and I realized I was in my bathrobe still, so I got off the bus and tried running back to my room. One of my classmates, who was on the bus, ran after me and caught up with me. At some point in here, I realized I was dreaming (making it lucid dream #3 for the night!), and began wondering why he would ride the bus since I knew he had a car. I thought I could stump him (or actually my perception of him), because I surely couldn't come up with a good answer to that question. So I asked him, and he came up with a most humorous response: he said he didn't want to miss out on all the bus station action!
“The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams” —Rush
