First i saw lights floating about. Then i saw some Imagry poping in and out. It was then everything was still and i was pretty content. This is when a bright yellow sheet of light brushed over my eyes and i felt a strong pressure come over me. it only lasted about 30 seconds. i got in a deeper sleep and found myself looking outside of my house where the trees were still green (but it had snowed a foot today). I still aware i was sleeping in my bed the whole time. So i probably got to excited and from there that dream body went into one that was sleeping on the couch in my famly room. I felt myself go in this body and right away i was lifting out of it and floating above it. all the senses brightened. From there i lost control and floated through a wall and found myself back in my real bed with a tingling sensation. then i woke up. I think it was lucid dream, what do you think?
Actually, the OBE people would jump in to claim that one. No, it doesn't matter that the material details of the Scenery are not exact, as the OBE people are sophisticated enough to allow that the Temporal Astral Plane which roughly corresponds to our Material World is not an exact copy, not requiring the same weather reports.
But then again, many Spiritually Oriented Lucid Dreamers (a rare entity at this Nilistic and Material Site) would allow that Lucid Dreaming is simply one of the Gates into the Astral-Spiritual Realms. Ergo, whenever I am swept off in a Vortex and taken up into Heaven during a Lucid Dream, I in fact suppose that I had indeed crossed some actual Spiritual Frontiers.
The Barrier which prevents many dreamers from seeing the similarity between Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming is that bugaboo called the Subconscious Mind. People use that word which is nothing more than an expression belonging to an early and unproven model for psychological conceptualization, that they suppose they are speaking some something solid, real and actual. But there is NO Subconscious Mind. Its a false model which describes nothing. But we have Psychic Dreams, Shared Dreams, Prophetic Dreams, Astral Travel -- all kinds of things which Demonstrate that the Spirit is not trapped in the Body, nor the Mind limited to the Brain. As Carl Jung had argued, one cannot assert the model of the Subconscious Mind to the exclusion of Collective Consciousness.
There may be a Universal and Unifying Life Force which interpenetrates the World and which provides us all an objective link into what only seems to be a Subjective Experience. Yet each time a dream or OBE comes up with some verifiable objective material we have verifying evidence of the underlying reality embedded in these allegedly subjective experiences. The Subconscious Mind Model busts apart at its seems and must admit to external Conscious Forces of Awareness and Communication.
