      almost...had...it!

So in this dream, I was in a large white room with a hallway to the side. (i think it was a police station, due to the fact that i hate police) ANYWAY...I heard snoring in the hallway. I just about half realized what was going on. I feel that I was almost lucid. Then, I woke up.

The snoring was my gal, sawing off logs between the sheets next to me...

So, I think that this could be my dreamsign. I hope I can learn to use it that way. (good thing she's a heavy sleeper)

IN OTHER NEWS: I had this dream the other night that I was running around a huge mansion with the cast of All Dogs Go to Heaven. I never thought that I'd have a dream about Burt Reynolds, but at least it wasn't a lucid one.

That would be an interesting dreamsign, wouldn't it?

I have had no real lucid success yet, but there has been a time when I partially realized I was dreaming, only to wake up soon after...

Sounds like you're almost there. If the snoring would work as a dreamsign, that's great. However, if you feel like it's waking you up when you are on the verge of lucidity, I highly recommend wearing foam earplugs to bed. My wife sometimes snores up a storm (not to mention our dog), and wearing those earplugs has enabled me to sleep much better, and have more success at lucid dreaming (and just recalling dreams in general, too).

I have a feeling that I recently became very close to lucidity but it could be a trick of my mind. I was in an off license and went to buy some toffe and a load of bread (don't ask why) and I said to my self while I was looking at the two items 'I only want bread' and put the toffee back. At the checkout however I placed my item down and the toffee was there too and I said to myself 'I must be dreaming'. After I said it however I did wake up but I woke up from a dream that I was dreaming and didn't actually wake up or realise I was dreaming at all. I'm not sure why that is because I said to myslef that I'm dreaming but because I was dreaming about dreaming, my mind didn't seem to register it.
Sorry for making you read all that, just sharing my experiences.

I was trying to let my sub-concious imagination take control of a day dream I was having just after waking up(I've done it once before). Then I noticed a strange sound that at first thought was part of my imagination, I then realised it was my own snoring . I must have been close to sleep, but hearing my own snoring snaped me out of it
Recent Dream journal note : I was swallowed by some kind of sea-snake thing

Keep up the good work! If you concentrate on it, and convince yourself that you will accomplish your goal, it'll work. I have been there so many times, in different situations of course....
