      What If

      Ok, you know how you if you think about something alot during the day, you might have a dream about it at night? What is Lucid dreams are just regular dreams? What if your thinking about lucid dreams all day like most of us are, then at night we dream a dream and think we are lucid, but we're not, its just a normal dream about being lucid. What do you think?

      no. that's stupid. because lucid just means aware, no matter where you are. if you are conscious, and are aware of your surroundings, it doesn't matter where you are, you are lucid. if you are in a dream, and you are aware of yourself and your actions, you are lucid therefore it is a lucid dream. teh edn.

      I had a dream last night about posting on Dreamviews, but didnt get lucid.

      The same night I also dreamt about explaining or talking about Lucid Dreaming to somebody... but didnt turn lucid! But I dont remember much of it, because the lazy me didnt want to write anything down, instead I wanted to go right back to sleep...

      Y'see, you were just doing an everyday task, albeit one related to lucid dreaming, but you just didn't think "I AM DREAMING, THIS IS A DREAM." You were just...doing what seemed to be a normal task, even if it was related to LD'ing.

      You did'nt upset her...it was just her opinion, which i might say was good because being lucid is being aware.

      let me try to explain:
      when you see a dream, you feel yourself feeling. it's like some kind of buffer gives your information.

      In LD, you perceived directly. You can change it. You dont just observe, but take action.

      Paperdoll!!! This is the first post I ever read where you kind of...ummmm.... not nice. I would be really hurt if someone said "that's stupid" after I said something was interesting. Perhaps the person who doesn't fully know was lucid means is on this message board to learn more about it...

      I know this is a free speech forum and thank goodness for that, but man.... I would be put off or really hurt by that

      Becomming lucid brings a certain 'feeling' upon me.
      It's an awareness, rapture, a different form of an orgasm.
      It's like i can take the joystick, and direct the dream in any way i want with the flick of a wrist.

      Thinking about LDs all the time seems pretty useless to me, might even work vice versa. The point is to KNOW what you are thinking, not to mindlessly think about something or spam your mind with god knows what. Its same with overloading your mind with "Im dreaming Im dreaming Im dreaming x100" , no use at all.. at least thats the way I see it..I get lucid every night and I dont think about LDs..gues its a little bit diffirent with me but still, I dont think it would work.
