First controlled LD

[Ghazal]

Last night, i dreamt that i was in the kitchen with my dog. She died back in may 2005 so that was the first sign that it was a dream. Being me, i didn't pick it up. I walked into the bathroom to see piles of "socks" on the floor. At the time i didn't realise these weren't socks. Went over to the shower and realised the socks, were indeed dog crap. Walked out, carefully avoiding it and headed upstairs to tell my brother. He said something to me, but i can't remember what it was. Went downstairs, and who was sitting at the table? My brother! Then he said something to me, and all i remember was the word 'dream'. Did a RC there and my finger went through my palm. Obviously i was now lucid, and fully aware of it. I managed to stay calm through the entire thing, but there was one small problem. For the life of me i couldn't "spawn" anything into it. I tried, and tried and tried to no avail. I tried thinking of whatever it was, (quietly) saying out loud what it was, i tried spinning to increase my lucidity then try, nothing. I even tried walking to the kitchen door, and saying to myself that when i open it, the thing i want will be there. Nothing. It got to the point where i thought it wasn't a dream. Did the palm thing and finger went right through. Disgruntled, i closed my eyes, and when i opened them, i was wide awake.

Grats on your first Dont be disheartend by not being able to control your situation straight away. Keep trying, You have managed to LD now the rest is a bonus 8) My advice is dont try to hard, relax and let it happen. With me I just think of things and they happen. Some people say things and they happen. Find your own way. SB

I don't use any particular method. That LD has re-sparked my attempts to have them more often
