      Possible to meet others?

I did a search and nothing came up. Is it possible for, say if two friends wanted to meet eachother in a lucid dream. I'm not talking about just dreaming of meeting your friend but is it possible if you both have a talent for lucid dreaming that you could be in your friend's dream and both know at the same time that they're both dreaming? Wow. OK I'm sorry that came out as confusing as it did. I'm hoping you guys will understand what I'm trying to say.

What your talking about is Called Shared Dreaming/Dream Scaping.

As far As I know no one has found out for sure if its possible or not. One theory, whish sounds fairly plausible. I think Wolf came up with it. Resonance. The human Brain create some kind of magnetic fields, though only to a certain degree. Maybe if you were sleeping very close to this friend the Fields would interact with each other, somewhat, and began to "resonate." Of course, If you start lucid dreaming, that will obviously change the flow of the "fields" because your dream would take a different path. =

      Its Controversial... and Very confusing.

If your interested in trying it out with some of the Forum members you could check it out here... http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic....3988&highlight=

Hope I was of some help, Good Luck!

It is at least hypothetically possible. After all, some research has supported the idea of collective memory.

I don't particularly think it's possible, but I suppose I would disagree that you would have to be physically close to the person.

If you even wanted to attempt it, however, you would have to have good real-time communication with your friend beforehand, (either present in the same room or phone) and you would both have to be good at lucid dreaming. Very good. You would also want to try it many, many times, before you could even begin to expect something resembling success.

I would plan ahead of time to begin the dream in a place both are familiar with, on the off chance that it would help to establish some kind of "equilibrium," and be sure to journal your dreams privately before sharing them with each other. Write down your dreams, and then exchange notebooks, read the other person's experience, and then discuss it. Any discussion beforehand would totally funk the results, scientifically speaking.

Is there actually anything out there more solid than circumstantial evidence to vindicate shared dreaming? I've heard lots of anecdotes, but nothing convincing.

everything you haven't personally verified or experienced is an anecdote...

though i too would like to see 'evidence'.

Well, it's not like life needs to be peer reviewed in a scientific journal or anything like that. But people out there say all sorts of crazy things and we can't go around believing everything we hear.

      For example:

Not only do you have to worry about people saying things that are just plain wrong, some scumbags will try to fool you. Though you do have to wonder what they were thinking in this case: as long as it took for this fraud to get uncovered it was bound to happen eventually.

So naturally, when people make claims that contradict my understanding of how the world works (ESP, shared dreaming, ghosts, hobgoblins, Michael Jackson) I expect a good explanation. I'm afraid that anecdotes will not cut it with shared dreaming.
