      Lucid Dreaming? No...dang it.

Man I so thought I had a lucid dream, but I really dont think I did. I think I was DREAMING about me having a lucid dream...let me explain...

I was trying not to fall alsleep(the way some people usually get lucid dreams), and I started having the same dream I was having earlier, and in this dream I by this canyon and I was walking with my friends, and I stopped and said, "Wait a minute...Im dreaming."...so then I started to fly but I couldnt balance myself out, eventually I did.

But then I started to try and make things disapear and that didnt work.

For some reason I REALLY dont think it was a lucid dream...didnt really seem like I could control anything...

      What do yall think?

The thing I find with lucid dreams, is that upon awakening, they feel pretty much like any other dream. I find myself thinking "Was I really lucid?", but when you're in the dream, that's when you feel the lucidity. So, maybe that's what's happening to you? You had a lucid dream, but it doesn't feel like you did once you're awake?

Well, being lucid doesn't imply control over one's dreams, it implies awareness of being in a dream. It may have been a low level lucid where you were aware you were dreaming, but could not exert so much control.

Next time maybe just stop whatever you're doing in the dream and try to focus on becoming more in control, maybe by stating your desire out loud. I cant say I've had much practice at dream control, so if you are looking for some more tips, then I suggest PMing a Dream Guide .

      Good luck dude!

Funny, this morning I was 'dreaming' in a dream. While I was still seeing stuff in the 'dream that didn't feel like a dream'. But ofcourse I just felt like dreaming wasn't really anything I remember.

I agree with Night Wolf. Lucidity and dream controll are two different things. Once you get lucidity down, then you can focus on controlling what you do.

Trust your instincts... If you don´t think it was a lucid dream then it wasn´t. Anyway... you´ll find out the truth when you have *real* LD, I suppose.
