dreaming in a dream

I have a very strong ability to lucid dream. I do it in all most every one of my dreams. Well, one dream, I decided to do something very strange. While I was in this dream, I decided to go to sleep. I then found myself in another dream. I went around and did some stuff. I then "woke up out of that dream and into my original one". I then felt a rush of excitment and woke up because I have never done this before! Has anyone else done this?

Lots of times - but never before while I was lucid. Once I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was lucid dreaming... man that was a confusing dream.

I vaguely recall that I might have done this once in my teenage years, way before the Internet began, and lucid dreaming was largely unheard of.
