      I can't believe I missed this!

Today I was having a dream, and became lucid slightly.. Here is what happened..

In my dream my little sister died and I was really depressed...She was buried beside my bed(hey,I was dreaming)Well when I went to sleep that night I had a dream about my sister and realized she was dead so I became lucid, walked around a bit and woke up in the same dream bed I fell asleep in.Then I tried all the reality checks, and they failed one after another... Then I woke up later and felt really really supid that I didn't realize it.... Anyone else had this problem?

The mind can play weird tricks on you! Sometimes you just cannot become lucid!

This one happened to me the other night:
I was at work, walking down the hall wearing nothing but my wifes undies.
I was thinking, Oh god I am sooo embarressed, whay can't this be a dream!!!
This dream went on for about 20 minutes, extremely vivid, extremely embarassing. Talk about being ticked when I woke up!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.

The true horror was that I didn't become lucid after wishing it was a dream....

What do you mean by RC failed?
They acted like normal, or like dream world?

Just another day we were brewing a potion in a fountain, and I could "grab the vapors" and hover above ground... Guess what I thought?
      "Hey, this feels funny"...

Oh yeah, before that dream I was lying on a couch changing the colors of the room thinking "I thought you could only do this in a dream" yet never became lucid. My mind played alot of tricks on me...I bet my subconcious was laughing

And in response to how the rc checks failed, well they acted like real life. It really sucked.

It was NOT a pleasant expierence.I didn't instantly fall alsleep in my dream...I should have realized that undr my house is a crawlspace about for 3 feet high and it would be impossible to bury someone in my floor...

Thats like in my dream lastnight I went into this machine rental shop down the street from my house. And it was a subway which should've tipped me off because i questioned it in my dream, but even worse was the fact that i kept reading the menu over and over and getting pissed that the words kept changing on me.

Hey, cool, you just reminded me of a dream like that, it was horrible though

Basically, in my dream I had woke up in bed, and my teeth were mangled and pointing everywhere, and if you could move them around, I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked like a south park style cartoon character, with my teeth all over the place. And I was saying to myself "dammit this has to be a dream, it has to be, but it isn't "

I was so relieved when I woke up though, because I hadn't heard of lucid dreams at the time, I was more like feeling lucky because I wouldn't have to spend thousands of dollars on my teeth
