      My first Lucid!! Using MILD

Last night i used MILD and had my first lucid! I was in my room and the shades on the window were open, i was writing in my dream journal and thought "wait, i keep the shades closed, this has to be a dream" so i look at the DJ a few times, text doesnt change. I plug my nose and i can breathe so i say to myself "youve made it, now stay CALM", and i did. I tried putting my finger through my palm, got halfway but it didnt work. I plugged my nose again and then decided "I want to wake up before i lose lucidity", and i had the most realistic FA, then i woke up for real and couldnt go back to sleep!

EDIT:The adventure continues! I decided that the details of the FA might as well be here, so here they are. I woke up at 630 and my light was on (which is normal), i walked over to my dream journal and began writing the details of all the nights dreams. I wrote down something about dave chapelle from my "Dreamed dream", and then was like "what the hell", so i walked over to my computer loaded up the internet (the homepage was even the same, woah) then went to the comedycentral.com website. Then i went to click on "TV Shows" and i woke up in real life, it was 5:30 (AM).

I ordered 2 LD books my Laberge from amazon and will read them both when i get them. This is awesome!

The same happened to me during my first LD. I actually wanted to see, if I am able to wake up when I wish to wake up and it worked And the dream was fading away anyway.

as the day went on today i remembered something odd...I KNOW that i wanted to leave, but i just thought of maybe another reason why...
I went and looked at my digital clock next to my bed, to watch the numbers change, but it was blank, the screen was black. Then the blackness started to grow so i said "I want to wake up" then the blackness grew until everything was black and i had an FA (dream began to fade)

      thanks

Hey! I just had my second LD this morning. I am not able to have MILD, so I did a WILD again. Maybe reading your post before going to sleep was one of the helping triggers, who knows.

Anyway, get used to using the word odd a lot. This morning, after WBTB I was falling asleep thinking about going to WILD, than actually fell asleep, woke up after a while, started to think about WILDing again, who knows how many times this repeated. Maybe the first waking up was already a FA. The waking and dreaming worlds seem to fuze.

At the end I recognized I am dreaming without any RC's. I simply knew it in a certain moment. Anyway, the dream was everything else, just not vivid. Spinning didn't help and I couldn't control it

      heheh, congratulations, Captain!

It's a great feeling those first couple of times, isn't it? And although the newness may wear off, the experiences will likely only get better and better with time. Way to go!

Color me jealous! Man, I am wanting that first one bad. Congratulations. How long have you been trying? What do you think helped you the most in having your first LD? I am reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming now and in it LaBerge says that worst case scenario is that it could take months to have your first. Well, I am afraid to say that I am turning into that worst case...

Well, enough of my pitty party

      Congratulations!
