First Lucid since DV ...please read :)

Hi, feel silly taking up a whole thread just for my first attempted lucid but here goes, sorry its so long but please read-

It was a very long, and vivid series of dreams, like most of my dreams it was a strung together series of recurring dreams that I've had in the past- but its important to note that within my dream, I went to sleep twice before I became lucid. The first time, I could chock upto a false awakening maybe, I thought I was awake but the clarity was REALLY low as if I was in a dark room, I could hear a blizzard roaring outside and I assumed "ahhh, no school today" and I fell back to sleep perfectly calm to rest without worries of homework and college... then I dreamed from within my dream

the clarity, I would place at about 80% compartive to reality, I could see color that was distorted (but vibrant, a teacher/writer had very oarnge hair), and I could feel to an extent. Without going too far in depth to my pre lucid events (which took up 3 pages of notebook paper ) I ended up, as a principal of the highschool I was dreaming of (I'm no longer in highschool), sitting in a chair looking over some sort of electronic organizer. I kept getting a message to search my 'news tab' for 4 teenagers getting killed in a car accident, I then searched, butdidn't find anything-then another message popped up and said, "search for it tomorrow, it will be there." (prophetic?, but this could easily be biased) I shut down my organizer, and leaned back in my big office chair (my fathers office chair, he was a principal) and I began to WILD within my dream, (which took about 2 seconds), it was the timespan of a blink to change perspectives.

I dreamt of a sandy peaceful pacific ocean beach, where the weather was warm, when I opened my eyes I was there, it was at this point that I realised I was about to become lucid, but I needed to do something first, there were two DC's there and I was one of them! The principal, and another man. They were both middle aged and in wierd beach attire- Office clothes, that were opened at the neck without tie, and the pants that were rolled up to the knees without shoes or socks.

I was the principal, but I kept switching perspectives to the principal and the other DC. It was wierd. I was the other guy, and I was walking towards a parked camper right along side the water, dug into the sand. The door was open and a sunlight overhead striped sunblocker was blocking the light over a chair and a cooler filled with drinks, the chair and cooler were dug pleasantly in the sand.

I (as the other guy) grabbed a bottle of champagne and threw it to myself 30 feet away (the principal, I know its wierd, it was more like I was the principal and I was just following the other DC's perspective) when I caught it I was looking at the face of myself as the principal (which was not my face by the way, but I knew it was me) and as soon as I caught the bottle of champagne I said, "I must be dreaming."

This is when I first became lucid, my first INSTANTANIOUS thought afterwards was, "remain calm". But I didn't need to, I didn't get excited, didn't lose clarity. I just realised I was lucid, and that was it. I was cool as a cucumber. I walked a few steps to test out my dream feet, and felt warm pleasant sand. There was a million things I wanted to do, wanted to experience. I wanted to see my dog again (who just died), I wanted to relive memories of things gone horribly wrong, I wanted make love to a beautiful girl. But I didn't, I just said, "forget that, I'm going to fly."

I knew I was going to do it, I jumped into the air and was about 70 feet off the ground, but I guess I didn't earn my wings yet and what was originally supposed to be a flight turned into a mega jump +fall. When I hit the ground I woke up, not excited, but calm.
      wow...

It was a DILD, I gave up WILDing for a full night of rest...

I've been trying to visualize this beach since I began WILDing, and now that I've gone there, do you think its a good idea to go there every time I attempt lucidity, as a common starting point. I feel if I keep trying to get to this place it will be easier and become more natural.

thanks for reading, I feel like I can do this again! Thanks a lot dream views, and anyone who got through my run on sentences and poor structure

A pretty sweet first LD then! I'm particularly impressed by the feeling of warm sand on your feet... I can't remember having such a specific and intense feeling in any of my LDs. Reading that reminded me of my first LD. You'll learn to fly eventually.

You mentioned two things: Learning to fly, and making love. In my first LD, I tried the first but gravity caught me, it was as if I was doing a moon jump but with a hard fall. I just reminded myself that this was a dream and that I could do anything - and on my third attempt, I flew! It was one of the greatest feats of my lifetime . After flying around and enjoying omnipotence, I decided to try the latter, and I summoned a girl. Well, it was actually an angel, and she was flying faster than me. But I caught up with her and stretched my arm out, but then I suppose I got nervous and woke up.

Sex is famously tricky for some LDers, so try some more basic stuff first.

      Cool dream though, well done.

haha yea, sex is certanly tricky in dreams, when I first tried it the girl would almost always dissapear, or would turn into a guy. but man, that's pretty decent for a first LD, my first few sucked.

ya, it is pretty tricky. seeing that i love computers, i tried sex, but some window popped up, and i realized that it was a clock telling me the seconds i had until i woke up, so i stopped. after that, everyone including the girl ran out of the house and i was there by myself, so i tried getting a different girl to appear. that didn't work, and it was starting to get dark. i thought i was starting to lose control of the dream, so i just woke myself up.
