      Lucid dream?

I have been practicing LD'ing for about two weeks now, and I think I had my first successful one last night. So anyways, I remember two dreams last night, my second one was semi lucid. After finishing the first one I found myself in a schoolyard of what looked like to be an elementary school, I looked up and saw my friend, and automatically I knew I was dreaming, after that I could move and I could feel the snow and stuff when I picked it up. It was so real, so I started to think I wasnt actually dreaming. I then proceeded into the school where I tried to find a clock or something to try a reality test. I saw one right after thinking about it. At this point I think I was starting to loose lucidity because when I looked at the clock the numbers were changing and turning into weird symbols, but I dismissed it as not being weird. So I sat down, disapointed that I wasnt actually having a lucid dream. (or so I thought) I cant remember anything after that, but I woke up a little while later and thats all I remember.
So, is this typical of first lucid dreams?

If you knew you were dreaming then you had a lucid dream, congrats! Remember these things are a continum, so there are different levels. Next time you'll know what to do.
