      Lucid a couple more times?

Okay Ive had about 6 lucids in a very short amount of time for someone who just started...

But more and more I dont really think they are...

Like in this one dream...I went lucid, then I dreamt about waking up, telling my friend online that I had "another lucid dream" and going back to sleep...then having another one...

Im really beggining to think its just me THINKING about lucids so much that I have dreams about them and am not really lucid...

Re: Lucid a couple more times?

      hey

well the part where you said "I went lucid, then I dreamt about waking up, telling my friend online that I had "another lucid dream" and going back to sleep..." that was a false awakening

that's why it's really important to do reality checks upon first waking, you know to see if you're really dreaming or not

but 'thinking about lucids alot' is one good way to attain lucidity...I know when I have it on my mind alot, I'm more likely to have one

so what about some of your other lucid dreams, what were they like?

I never really understand when people ask if a dream was a lucid-dream. In my experience, there is absolutely no question. The second I realize I am dreaming, I know it's a lucid dream...There is nothing particularly vague about it.

I think people sometimes get confused about the terminology. By this I mean, does "lucid dream" mean "dream control", or does it mean "you're aware that you're dreaming while you're dreaming"?

The answer is the latter, but it is possible to have a non-lucid dream, but have dream control. Like a dream about flying...you're flying, having a good time, but you fully accept it as reality and never become lucid.

On the other hand, you can have a lucid dream, but no control. Of course IDEALLY we want to achieve both.

But anyway, I think that's why some people get confused about the term "lucidity." Not the concept. Because you're right, you either know you're dreaming or you don't.
