I read in another thread that one LDer uses his lucid time to meet fictional characters from stories. Has anyone else tried it? Who have you "met" yet? Was it as cool as you'd hoped it would be? |

"Speaking of which, did you find out about the you-know-what in your toolshed? As in, a name?"
"No, the dead body in my you-know-what is still a mystery."
I've met Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger in a few dreams before. It was usually when I was reading the books before I fell asleep, then I'd dream about them. Sometimes I'd just hang out with them, and other times I was Harry or Hermione. Sounds childish, but I love the HP series. |
|
A few years ago I read a book called Children of the Jedi...and then had several dreams of Luke Skywalker. |
|
Ohhh, I've never met any fictional characters! But I do love the Harry Potter series as well! I have met a few celebrities though. So far I've met Ricky Martin and Heath Ledger. I've had two dreams with Ricky actually. He's a lot of fun. And Heath Ledger was terribly sexy and an awesome great guy to be with! |

Great question! I haven't LD'd yet, so I'm not terribly helpful, but I'd like to meet: |

I've had characters from TV shows and/or movies appear in my dreams on rare occasions. I remember one (I think it's logged in my DJ here on DV) where the guys from "Everybody Loves Raymond" were in it. But I don't think that's ever happened in a lucid dream -- these were all non-lucid dreams, and I wasn't "trying" to meet them. |

Your question has flared some neurons associated with your question. I have recently read the Eyre Affair and am still reading Lost in a Good Book (sequel in the series). A big part of this series is literature and jumping into and out of the reality inside of books. |

I met the grim reaper the other week. |

i was just thinking about this recently. i was reading one of the Everworld series by k.a. applegate ( the one who wrote animorphs) and i just got so caught up in the story and im so fascinated by the characters that next ld im going to try to meet them and go on some of their adventures. |
|
All of these have been non-lucid, but I've also met Harry, Ron, and Hermione... no magic, though. And I'm not ashamed to consider myself a hug HP fan |

I have had dreams where I have met harry potter, and gone to hogwarts. When I woke up I wanted to be a wizard... LOL but anyways when I become a little more familiar with lucid dreaming I might try to meet Garret from theif, or Drizzt Do'urden... If you dont know who they are just do a google |

Drizzt Do'urden
I've met characters from my own stories a fair bit, but that's hardly surprising, as a lot of them are based on random dream characters. Those I have invented from scratch do not appear half so much as I would like them to. There's a particular character I really want to meet, but who has so far proved to be quite elusive. I'll yet you know if I succeed. |

ive met all the harry potter charecters, and several zombies from dawn of the dead. it wuznt real scary tho. |

Yes, It's happened to me many times. One time I remember clearly, when I was a child, I watched a movie called "Bronco Billy". that night I had a long dream that lasted all night in which I was the main girl from the movie. Everything that happened in the movie happened to me, but I could control all the events by the results of my choices and actions. |
