      Spinal compression in a lucid...

So, last night i have a dream. i'm on the third story of a hotel complex, on a balcony. i become lucid. i try to tuck my legs underneath me and levitate, but the dream was quite realistic, so i only hover for a split second, then fall to my ass about half the speed i normally would.

i don't want to attempt flying so soon after this failure, so i decide to explore inside, which includes staring at myself in a mirror (very trippy, my pupils were dilated like when i'm bemushroomed), and having my first drink of water in a lucid.

anyways, i finally get bored with the contents of the room, and decide i'll give flying a shot. the balcony door (one of those sliding ones), is closed now, and there is a black screen in front of it. i want to jump clean through it to see what happens.

so, i take my marks, get set, and start running....but wait....my legs aren't working properly, they are sort of rubbery and unresponsive. i turn back and walk a circuit of the room. ....alright, they're good now.

i run from one end of the room, reaching top speed before diving headfirst towards the screen/door....and almost 'knock myself out' in a lucid dream seriously, it felt so realistic. i was like a dolphin flying through the air who smacks into a brick wall. it felt like i got suckerpunched, and i almost lost the lucid...

i doubted myself in mid-air not a good idea. hehe, i DID try to incubate a realistic dream, but i didn't want it to be THAT realistic.

it makes me glad i didn't try flinging myself off the balcony at the beginning...i've jumped off a second story balcony while drunk and almost blown out my knee....not something i would want to recreate in a LD

all in all, a humbling experience...
