      WILD?

I was just reading about it, and it said something about when your doing this, you might see streaks of colors and things.

Well, a lot of times when I close my eyes in bed I have this thing were I'm falling really slowly through different clors shaped like things. I'm not asleep though, cuz when that happens I can open my eyes whenever. It always stops when I fall asleep. Does that have anything to do with WILD?

It sounds like hypnagogic imagry- and yes people usually experience this when WILDing or before falling asleep- you dont have to be asleep to see this

      Hi Shea,

I agree that what you're seeing is likely hypnagogic imagery - however, in respects to WILD technique, you really closer to being awake than asleep when seeing these things. There are many levels you go through on your way from wake to sleep. The closer you start coming to sleep, the stronger your visual and audible sensations will become. Not only will you see things, but you will also hear things. I find that it is at this point, (hearing things), that you're closest to slipping into a dream (WILD).

Look around on the site, there are many tutorials about WILDing and some even include a technique in which you use this imagery to slip into dreamland.

Good luck and welcome to forum!

Thanks, I've been able to do it for as long as I can remember, and was wondering exactly what it was. Thanks again.
