My First Lucid Dream Scared me half to death

I usually have Vivid dreams i never write them down cus i always remember them, All my dreams happen in places I have yet to visit in the waking world, and they are all linked in some strange way I have been working on a map of the landscape i call the Dreamlands. This one time i went into a building accross the way from an superstore next to a road, i went into the building and decided not to take the lift as there was spikes in the floor and roof, I took the stairs and went down a corridoor, i was alone this time usually i meet people in my journeys but i left these people outside this building and went alone. i walked into an appartment and it was all new nice layed out table. then it changed to the same room in disrepair with all sorts of nasty things about the place i noticed a blood stained sword on the floor, then the room went back to the newly decorated room but the sword was on the table as a center peice, with a song heavy metal playing in the background a track i have never heard before,, for some reason this was in colour before i realised i was in fact lucid dreaming without realising it, i awoke from this dream not being able to breathe. sounds like a bad dream, but it was real to me. The second time i lucid dreamed i realised i was dreaming and flew places swooping over people begging me to let them know how i do it. and escaping those that wanted to hurt me, since that dream the nightmares didn't scare me anymore as there was a way out. The 3rd lucid dream where i realised i was dreaming i was in total control of.. I was able to think about what was happening make decisions on how i wanted events to play out even to which dream i had before that i wanted to make changes to. There is still some things i need to try and remember and my awakings are a little bumpy as i have yet to work out a sign to let me know i am dreaming. It happens almost by accident, but once i know its a dream i can do what ever i want as long as its possible, flying is impossible but if you think like the matrix its not. I was able to make things i didn't like disapear, vanish them away, I not tried to materialise anything yet not that i ever thought of doing that.. I just decided where i wanted to go and what i was going to do when i got there, and how better interact with the dreamland friends i made. I had a short dreams but its vauge, whereas i was talking with someone and actually said to them that i was about to wake up and said goodbye to them. I had what i felt was the most controled dream i had last night, and everything was crystal clear, i had control over what i was doing and the world i was interacting with, its hard to explain totally what it was like it was so real and yet i knew it wasn't. When i woke from that last dream i wasn't able to wake without panicing cus i felt i was waking up i could hear the real world, in this case my nephew waking up and making noise, maybe i didn't want to wake or wasn't really ready and wanted to continue as they happen rarely. Like I said it was by accident that i did control this dream the way i did. Hard to explain the feeling.. but staying calm and facinated is the way to go.
