      B6, woo.

Yep, just got some "time release" B6 vitamins, 200 mg each....

think they'll work? im gonna take some before bed tonight and see if my WILDs any better... then in a few days ill take some 1 hr before WILD and see if the WILDs any better than the previous night...

anyway do you think "time release" is actually a type of vitamin that will be less effective (in which case i could crush it before eating it or something ) or is that just something they put there for sales?
also whould i take it before bed or before WILDing? (for it to be peaking around the time i WILD)

any comments would help, ill post the results of the WILD here (which is the reason i put this in LD experiences )

      Woo-hoo! Go BillyBob!

Yeah, I had my second WILD less than a week ago, after taking 200mg of b6. It wasn't the time release stuff though, I don't think. Hrmm... if it is time release, maybe it would be less effective. *shrug*

Okay, what I noticed when I used b6? Well, other than the headache in the morning...

Hypnogogic imagery became far, far more vivid. It became much, much, MUCH easier to "enter" the LD. BUT... I dunno how much of an effect it actually has on the LD once you get there. My b6 WILD was very short, and quite "dark". But... meh. This could have been due to any number of factors.

Also, if you're gonna be using b6 in 200mg amounts, I'd suggest you use it once per week, MAX. Like... usually, you only get about 2mg of the stuff each day in your food, I think. So... yeah. I noticed headaches after using the shit. I've still got a BIT of a one now, though, that might be due to something else. b6 CAN cause neurological damage when used in large amounts for a fair period of time, according to what I've read...

As for crushing it up? Heh. Might be a good idea... Hrmm....

Actually, this weekend, I might try that myself. Like, crush it up and stick it in a drink or something during WBTB... like, give ti an hour or so, it should have a pretty big effect. Thanks for that, it was a really good idea and summin' I'll be sure to at least try!

Ehrm... well, I was working with 100mg tablets.

So, I took ONE tablet befor dinner, that was probably around about 7pm, and I took antoher tablet about 30 minutes before bed, that was probably around about 9pm or a bit later.

I woke up after about 4 hours of sleep, and did WBTB. The only thing was, it took me AGES (a good two hours) to get back to sleep. This wasn't cos of the b6 though, I was just preoccupied. But... yeah. I'm not ENTIRELY sure what the best sort of time-schedule is to take b6, and I dunno if what I did was right. It's something I should probably find out though, so, I'll have a serach around the forums and see if I can find out.

This saturday, I'm gonna try grinding up the tablets into a powder and taking it with a glass of water during WBTB and see if that helps. I'll PROBABLY try that, it depends on what my hippie adoptive mother reccomends. (LOL Sorry Gwen, couldn't resist)

EDIT: Okay, these threads, referred to in "The Pharmacy" in the tutorials section, are probably the most helpful:

Took a capsule of B polyvitamins containing 200 mg of B6, 100 of B2 and a bit of some other B...didn't have any effect except making me wake up at 5 AM and not recall a single dream. Will take another one today before sleep, who knows.

Ok, took 200 mg directly before sleeping, woke for WILD 5 1/2 hrs later remembering NOTHING, no dreams whatsoever... hearing merlocs experience im wondering if maybe B6 helps you to more efficiently forget your dreams....
anyway I WILDed after an hour of being up, it was REALLY easy to get into an LD... I found myself in my dark living room, I immediatly did a RC seeing that i was in a dream I looked at the doorway expecting to see a monstrous beast (I recently watched a horror movie and was afraid Id see its beast in my dreams [which is a sure way to make sure you do ]) I began to see "something" emerge from the dark, so I immediately turned and stared at the TV that was turned on in the room, I was about 3 ft from it and could tell (this was amazing because usually I go into third person when I look at a TV in a dream, needless to say in this one I didnt) I looked at the TV like the stuff in it was a moving picture, that sounds obvious, because thats all it really is, but if you think about how your watching it in real life you'll notice that you dont seem to be looking at a screen but at a place. anyway I continued to watch it for about 3 minutes (it was a show about nature with amazing shots of plants and leaves) I watched this for awhile before moving down a LONG road to losing my lucidity (I had an extrtemely realistic dream about my family spying on me to see the habits of people in the area, I was pretty mad because everyone in my family now knew how weird I was )

anyway overall I LOVE YOU B6!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool. Yeah, this is what I found, too. b6 tended to kill my recall, but, shit oh dear, it made getting into a WILD so damn easy. LOL. I'm gonna try again on Saturday. I'll either take the tablets before bed, like you suggest BillyBob, or I'll crush 'em up and take em with water or juice durring WBTB. I'll do a bit of research on how long it takes b6 and other vitamins to get into the system after ingestion... that might be useful...
