      Very Strange Dreaming Experience...

I think I had a lucid dream this morning using the WBTB method. However, it was extremely short (lasted around 10 seconds). I think my problem was I had slept too long (8 hours) and didn't feel as tired. However, I still slept.

In my dream I was in my room and I remember looking at the clock and reading 7:35, which was around the real time. I remember shouting, "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming" in an attempt to make the dream stay. I wasn't excited, though. I was just desperate to keep the dream. That didn't really work as it ended right after I said that.

Another really strange thing was that right after I fell asleep I felt my body vibrating and a force that was trying to push me up. It kind of reminded me of WILD, but I wasn't trying to do a WILD, so... does anyone know what the deal was?

Well, you did have a lucid dream, no matter how short it was. Don't worry about it. It is a good step towards lucid dreaming. Next time you feel like you are losing the dream, clap your hands, rub them together, spin around, or jump off of someplace really high. It forces your brain to add sensation to the dream that further immerses you into the dream.

The vibrations and strange feeling you mentioned afterward are part of sleep paralysis, and it sounds like you had a very mild case of it. Look into 'sleep paralysis.' You'll find tons of information on it.
