Have i experienced a lucid dream?

im new so i would first like to say hello anyway im now 16 but my experience happened a few years ago when i was about 7 or maybe younger. i was sleeping and i realised i was asleep i think it was because i looked differently and i went into my garden and thought of flying and i actually flew. and another experience was when i was about 6 and i knew i was dreaming and i wanted to wake up as it was a shock to me at that age, anyway somehow my brother and dad helped me build a machine, the moment i turned it on i woke up were these moments lucid dreams or me just dreaming about knowing im in control. p.s i only just learnt about controling dreams and am i learning atm

first of all, welcome to DV! Yeah, sounds like they were lucid dreams. If you realize you are dreaming, and that nothing you do will affect your real life... then that's a lucid dream. Have you had any other lucid dreams since? If you haven't done already, you may want to check out the tutorial section on this website. It has lots of useful information... and also be sure to start a dream journal at some point if you haven't already done so. It's the best tool to improving dream recall.

thanks for the reply and the welcome ive read other posts and you guys are all friendly i havnt had one for a while but then i mght not remember them anyway ive had a look at the tutorial and will start the dream journal tomoro hopefuly.
