I have had lucid dreams before, but they were generally short and unsastisfying. Last night, I decided to try the FILD (finger-induced lucid dream) at 3:30 with amazing results. I started moving my fingers at the perfect time, and after a few seconds, felt my body enter sleep paralysis and had the illusion of being seperated from my body. I just kept concentrating on dreaming, and before I knew it, I was lying back in bed. I did a nose RC and could breath through my fingers. I then opened up my eyes to see my bed floating in the open ocean at sunset. It was truely amazing.
I watched the waves for a while, then went back to bed. I had a false awakening, but did a RC and remained lucid. I also realized the amount of control I had. I began to conjure people and objects up, right in front of me, including my family, Eddie Vedder, and my girlfriend (>_>.) After flying around the room and conversing with all of them, I eventually convinced them that they were in a dream as well. After a while, I went back to bed again. However, this time, I had another false awakening, and forgot to do another RC. I lost lucidity then.
All in all, an amazing, long, and satisfying lucid dream, the first long one I think I have ever had.
Actually, such an induction with such an experience would be so much more at home with the Out of Body, Astral Projection People. Anytime you hit Sleep Paralysis, then Lucid Dreaming would seem to be a second choice kind of thing, where the preferred route should be toward seperating from the Body and directly accessing the Astral-Spiritual Planes.
Now, a great good many people argue that there is no real solid differences between the Lucid Experience and the Astral Spiritual Experiences. Granted. but, still what remains is the subjective context into which the Experience is placed. And this may be important.
Firstly, most people at the beginning of this 3rd Millenium are out and out Materialists. For instance, we have people having Lucid Dreams and exclaiming "How does the Brain do this". The "Brain". The intellectual-emotional context of Lucid Dreaming is for most people stuck in the Brain. Stuck in Materialism.
But if one chooses to experience an Out of Body Travel Astral Projection, then it is suddenly so much easier to understand the context in Spiritual Terms.
Go beyond Materialism. Turn your Lucid Dreams into Astral Adventures. Become a Spiritual Being.
