man, |

I started having these dreams a few months ago and now I have them almost every time I sleep...even if I am just taking a short nap. |

man, |

I totally agree with you. I started having these dreams several years ago, and I dream like this every friggin' night, and sometimes I'm too afraid to fall asleep again, because I don't want to see all my dead relatives and one of my childhood friends. That's my problem at least. But I guess I could live with those dreams, because for me the worst part are the false awakenings. They cost me precious hours at lectures etc. |

Yeah but... then they would be dream signs. With a bit of practice, everytime you saw them you would know you were dreaming... |
|
...and if you know that you're dreaming, you can learn to control it and stop the nightmare. Change something in the dream that isn't scary - or try the spinning technique and spin to a new dreamscape. |

These dreams give you a chance to face your fears man, don't worry. And about banging your legs together against a wall to wake yourself up, I have a different technique. I try to blink as hard as I can constantly until I wake up, and it works quite well, although usually it takes a couple seconds. |
