I had just gone to bed, and started dreaming. I was totally aware that I was asleep and dreaming, and knew that I was able to control what I did. I was flying around the inside of a house, a familiar house but I didn't recognize where I was. I knew I had been there before. I was going in and out of rooms, kind of quickly, and every room I went into there were people! They seemed like ghosts to me. It freaked me out and I tried to hit one of them, and my hands went right through it/him. The ghost didn't seem to mind and ignored me. It was like being alive inside a video game, or a pinball machine, my body flying this way and that, never knowing what was around the corner. I felt out of control, like not knowing how to handle a 500 horsepower engine even though I know how to drive. I was so freaked out, and kept seeing these people, and flying around, and it was all real. I was totally aware that I was aware and lucid dreaming. Then there was a man sitting next to me on the bed, a white guy with a big nose, older, just sitting there. I freaked out and tried to hit him, of course it didn't work and he wasn't bothered (probably just amused). He was right there on the bed beside me. I tried to scream, thinking that it would wake me up, I saw my arms in the air in front of me as I tried to wake myself up. I knew my partner was right beside me on the other side, and I thought if I yelled loud enough she'd wake up and then wake me up and get me out of there (the dream)! I finally managed to hurl myself out of the dream (that was weird). Once fully awake, and grateful to be awake, I woke my partner up because I was so freaked out. My heart was racing a mile a minute, and my entire chest was drenched with sweat! It was the strangest yet coolest thing. I am pretty sure it was lucid dreaming. I look forward to doing it again, with some trepidation, and hopefully I can have better 'control' next time and stay calmer. Any tips? Thanks! |
