      Mixing music

I remember having four dreams last night, the last two had something in common, not to mention they were repeated dreams.

In the first one, I was watching a band perform live in concert. They did four songs, and one of them was named "Bridge to XXXX" where "XXXX" was another one of their songs. It sounded really similar to it. Supposedly it was off their next CD, yet to be released, recorded or otherwise.

In the second one, I saw a former group member of mine go by, which I soon followed. I found him on the organ, where he just finished playing "XXXX". There were four petals on the organ/piano, the three standard, and a metal bar which allowed him to keep the pedals pressed even though he was no longer sitting on the bench. We talked about the song still echoing on the piano/organ.

Anyways, after I woke up I realized that the two songs were so similar. I started remembering how the songs went and I accidentally MILDed back into the second repeat dream. The dream restarted, and I soon realized it. I (failed to) fast forward through the dream, I rewinded it several times too. Other than getting it on with the girl that was sitting on my lap the first time in the dream, here's what I did.

I asked my subconscious to bring back song "XXXX" from the organ, and it started playing. Then, I asked it to play "Bridge to XXXX" from the concert in my other dream. To my surprise, they lined up beautifully, and also sounded like another song by that same band. I asked my subconscious to bring that similar sounding song in as well, and all three were playing together. It sounded pretty.

When I woke up from that dream, I took the two tracks I had and mixed them together, and they did line up. That's probably what inspired the dream(s), I have been working on mixing tracks by this band together for weeks now.

Parts of it sounded like it went together. Of course, those two are not the only two songs that go together, so it has to fit with other things too, and they aren't all the same. Sounded like it should have, how about that?
