Maybe I wasn't in a deep enough sleep to actually have this considered a dream, but I don't know what else it could be. It was really late and I was exausted, and as I was drifting off to sleep I had this dream.

The dream begins with my friends and I sitting on the side of some strange road in the dark. A man walks up to us and begins to speak, but as he comes closer I realize that I can't see anything around me. I try to hold my eyes open, but it's pointless, so I close my eyes and feel myself fall into what I can only describe as a 'coma' within the dream.

I am now in the backseat of a car with my friend, J. We get out of the car and start longboarding through this trail into a forest. At this point i'm aware that i'm dreaming, so I decide to make my longboard ride smoothly. No matter what though, I can't seem to make my board do what I want it to do! I know that everything in a dream is the projection of my mind, so it can only be me causing my board not to go fast. I look down and notice that the path where my wheels are in is grooved in such a way that it is causing it to go slow.

At this point I hear 2 girls on bikes approach us from behind. They are giggling and chuckling and talking amongst themselves, and it's all good and well. J and I get ourselves and our boards up to a fork in the road. One form goes deep down, to the left, and another path elevates, to the right. J and I get of our boards and stand at the fork not knowing what to do.

The girls on bikes have no caught up with us, but they don't stop. Instead, one girl goes down one path, and up the other. The girls look like they're the same person almost. After they depart I intend on going up the right path, but I just stand there with J. We don't say a thing.

The dream ends here and it was very short.

I'd say this is just a random lucid dream, it sometimes happens like this - where you know you're dreaming but you still can't control the dream, and that feeling will probably change with time. Or not. Dreams are just so random in my opinion. But of course, if you want some 'analytical' responses (such as something like the girls on the bikes might 'symbolize' something or the groove road might actually 'mean' something in real life) then I think you'd get those types of responses if you posted this on the Dream Interpreation part of the forum.
Apathy is a lovely escape route.
