      a few weeks ago when my girlfriend Donna was staying over i had a pretty strange dream,

      in the dream i was sitting in my chair at my desk in the dark...but it felt differnt like i wasn't sposed to be there, then everything started spinning, and i could hear heavy breathing getting louder and louder and the louder the breathing got the faster everything span.now i dont know if i was lucid or not because i knew i was dreaming but i couldn't control what i was doing, the breathing got so loud i could hardly hear myself think and as everything started spinning even faster i yelled "END THIS DREAM NOW" and i woke up to Donna breathing in my ear, weird huh?

      I definetly say it was a lucid dream, because you were aware you were dreaming and that's the definition of being lucid while dreaming.
      Being able to control your dream comes later, with more experience.

      Was this your first LD ?
      <div align="center">"Could we but mould our dreams at will,
      And keep them free from harm or ill,
      How pleasant it would be,
      To deem our waking hours but dreams,
      And that, our life which now but seems
      A baseless fantasy."

      Yup, if you knew you were dreaming, you were lucid. Control and lucidity are not reliant on each other. You can be lucid and have no control, just as you can have control and not be lucid.

      Don&#39;t worry about it - you win some, you lose some. Keep practicing&#33;
