Okay, so I am quite new to the world of lucid dreaming.. although, this past week has been very eventful for me - and I have made very quick progress and I am improving each night.
I have had some control in my lucid dreams.. although I did not have constant control throughout any of them.
Now, usually in my dreams I never do the usual reality checks; i.e. pinching myself, or checking my hands. But on this one occasion, I decided to have a look at my hands, just out of curiousity - I already knew I was dreaming.. but I thought -"what the hell".

The first time I glanced at my hand, there wasn't any noticable difference.. possibly my hand was facing the wrong direction. I tried again.. and wow - nothing could prepare me from what I was about to see..
My hand was glowing with so much energy - my fingers where morphing into one another - and weaving out of control - my hand.. was a light with flames of beautiful colour - it was like a firework display. It was out of this world. Words cannot describe it.
The only bad thing was, I felt alot of pain the longer I stared at it. Like really bad pins & needles - and cramp! But I didn't care, I kept staring until the pain was unbearable. It was worth it!

I kept peeking at my hands again and again throughout the dream.

When I woke up it reminded me of Johnny Storm AKA. the human torch.

Anyways, I just thought I would share this with everyone - because obviously everyones reality checks are different. It amuses me that a reality check was the highlight of my lucid dream. :¬]

[PS. I'm looking to be adopted].
Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to endless night.

That's a cool lucid dream experience! I usually concentrate on my hand in a lucid dream just to increase the vividness of the dream. It seems to work, gets you concentrating on the dream and what you want to do.
