As I was laying there, I started seeing HI and just laid there watching it for a while. I then started seeing complex scenes with people flashing by. Then the next thing I remember was that I was in a dream and I was lucid. But, I don't actually remember entering the dream. Is this normal for a WILD? Maybe I actually did fall asleep but had a DILD shortly after? I'm just not sure enough that it was a WILD.

I'm not a WILD expert, but it sounds to me like that was close enough to call it a WILD.

Thanks for replying TygrHawk. I'm pretty sure it was a WILD too but would love to know for sure.

Any other WILD experts have any thoughts? I guess my question is, when doing WILD, are you totally conscious when entering the dream or sometimes can you not remember actually entering the dream?

I can't say, because it varies for people, but my WILDs are usually accompanied by:

      - HI (like you had)
      - Sleep Paralysis and static like sounds (sometimes I hear random sounds as well)

And I'm completely aware when the dreams begins. The background starts black, and I'll start seeing faint colors, which will slowly turn into objects and slowly everything will get lit up until everything is clear and I can move around.

There was one dream where I skipped SP and actually the dream began with me attempting to WILD.

As long as you had awareness the whole time I'd say WILD, if you lost conciousness at some point but regained it later on during the dream - DILD.

It seems to me you lapsed out of it for a moment there, but I'd definitely call it WILD. I know I can remember entering dreams when doing WILD, so you must have fallen asleep for a moment, but no harm done if you immediatly gained lucidity upon entering the dream. So yes, I'd say you have WILD'ed. Congratulations.
