I FINALLY had an LD last night after a several week dryspell not just without LD, but without much recall at all. I seem to have fallen into a pattern of having an LD, getting excited and concentrating very hard on RC's and tying to induce, then going thru a period without anything, getting discouraged, and then just when I think I'll never do it again, it happens.

I'm glad that it finally happened again but I wish I wouldn't go so long in between and get so discouraged everytime. But I write this to try to encourage people who are struggling. I struggle a lot (I have put a lot of effort into this&#33 and every once in a while I am rewarded.

I just wish I was more consistent. I wonder if I really have any more LD's than I ever did. Sometimes I think I am just more aware of them now. Maybe nothing I have done really changed the frequency. I don't know.

The same thing seems to be happening to me.
At first I was having at least one lucid dream per night, with some parts that I had control over. After a great week, the next handful of days.. nothing happened. Then, as soon as I was thinking about giving the whole think up because I was in a bad state of mind.. I had a marathon of great, interesting dreams.
I think I am back on track now, for sure.
Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to endless night.

Yep, this happens to me a lot.

Here's the thread where I've explained a technique based on this.

Thanks for the advice; I'll try it but it will be hard not to think about LD. I have gotten so used to thinking about it every night before I go to sleep.
