Hey everyone. You may not recongnize me but I have been on dreamviews for about 2 yrs now, on and off with different names, b/c of status in life, but this one is my permanent.

I finally understand what a real lucid dream is. You can't know until you know you've had one. Even though i HAVE LUCID DREAMT SEVERAL TIMES AFTER THIS DREAM I TRUELY UNDERSTOOD EVERY COMPONENT IN LUCIDITY. THIS IS THE DREAM:

THE FIRST THING I REMEMBER WAS LOOKING AT MY HANDS AND THEN MY FEET. "I AM DREAMING" I SAID TO MYSELF. (I FOUND THAT LOOKING AT MY HANDS AND FEET THE PICTURE WAS DISTORTED, THERFORE LETTING ME KNOW THAT I AM DREAMING.) THIS TIME I HAD NO FEAR, (I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY I FEARED IT, THAT IS WHAT HAS KEPT ME FROM LUCID DREAMING.) I THEN THOUGHT I'D LIKE TO BE AMONGST THE STARS. I WAS THEN PLUNGED LIKE A TIME WARP, INTO OUTER SPACE AMONGST THE METEORS AND STARS. IT WAS AS IF I WAS REALLY THERE FLOATING/FALLING. I CAN ALMOST IMAGINE ACTUALLY HAVING THE SAME FEELING IF I HAD GONE TO SPACE IN THIS REALITY. I SHORTLY AWOKE.

I WAS EXTREMLY UPSET THAT I SUDDENLY WOKE UP, I WANTED MORE TIME. BUT I WAS EXCITED TO FINALLY UNDERSTAND LUCID DREAMS, THAT I HAVE BEEN STUDING FOR 2 YEARS. I'D LOVE SOME FEEDBACK!!!!
      Love your life,

Congrats on the lucid dream! It's a trip, eh?

Anyway, I'm just curious what your perspective was on lucid dreams before experiencing one for yourself.

You said it. It is pretty difficult to fully understand a lucid dream with out having one. Just like any experience.
Now you can relate to this which will hopefully provide a window for you to lucid dream. Your brain now understands the constructs from an experience rather than just raw data.

      Awesome
      !

Hey, glad you could find your understanding of Lucid Dreams, I remember when I had my first really vivid one.

Are you typing in all capitals on pupose? I noticed it changed halfway through your first post, it makes it hard to take you seriously.
These are the tears that I dream about...

I like typing in caps on myspace account. I must have switched halfway through. I go back and forth. Sorry for the confusion.

That sounds pretty good. Many people have to experience it, before they fully understand it

I suggest you, to stop using capital letters

      ---------
Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

The exact thing happened to me, I felt a rushing sensation, then I became aware of my lucidity and I was in outer space, although I didnt think of it, it just came, but mine began with me being aware of sleep paralysis(thats the rushing sensation) and I felt an evil presence too.

Oh and eh. "What is a real lucid dream", you finally understand that?
Appearantly not. It's just knowing you're dreaming. You're talking about some heavenly palace. While you do get your point across and I totally know what you're talking about..

The topic description is totally unrelated. What you mean is, "What is the feeling of a real LD". Or something alike.
