Last night I had a horrible dream. I was going through a lucid dream which was really enjoyable, and I noticed my grandmother walking around in the room I was in. I guess I must have lost my lucidity because the dream turned into a nightmare. Like, my grandmothers body just kind of shut down and fell apart right infront of me, and she was screaming in pain.

Then my moms voice came yelling from her room and I ran in slow motion because I can never run in dreams. And I went in her room and she was gone but there was blood on the celling of her room.

I then saw my brother walking through the hallways with no hands and just bloody stumps saying "He is going to kill you Rob, run away" over and over. So I started running (again in slow motion) and I felt like someone was chasing me. I fell down and could not move a muscle. I then felt someone tapping on my right shoulder softly over and over.

      I woke up.

It might have been the scariest dream. Does anyone know how such a nice lucid dream can turn into one of the most horrific dreams ever? Why did my brain just decide the scare the hell out of itself?

sounds like you were doing what i was most afraid of while in a lucid dream. for some reason you think of something scary. and at first its not scary, because your like: "hell, i can control this dream, so nothing bad will happen." but you keep thinking about it and it builds up until it actually happens, just like you thought it would. i can be a very scary thing. thats the only explanation i have for those types of things. hopefully it won't happen again. i'm sure it will happen to me once or twice.

btw. that dream sounded like it sucked. i got scared when i read it. i looked behind me

Holy snap that if so ferkin scary. I cant imagine how fked up that dream was. Reminds me of some of the parts in the game F.E.A.R, only scarier because you get higher FPS and quality in a dream .

      Far-out!

I think that those sorts of dreams can be accidentally created while thinking about it. So it's like if your scared of falling off a cliff, it might increase the chance of it happening (while dreaming about it). But you weren't scared of something before were you? Were you scared the wonderful dream might fail?
