A few years ago I had a very vivid dream. In it I saw a young man patting a Labrador dog. He looked up at me and said, "Please tell her it is fine, it is wonderful. I just knew that it was the recently dead husband of a colleague of my husband. I had only met the man once a few months before his death at the age of 55, and he had looked nothing like the man in my dream, as he was ravaged by his terminal illness.

I didn't know his wife well, and felt very embarrassed at the idea of passing on this message too her. In the end I decided I had to do it. She took it very well indeed and seemed grateful. I asked her if I could see a photo of her husband as a young man. Sure enough it was the man in my dream! On the wall were several photos of Labrador dogs, which they used to breed. I pointed to the one that resembled the dog in my dream. She said it was his favourite dog!

Don't you think that if it really was a dead person contacting you... that he would have simply contacted his wife instead of leaving you, someone she barely knows, a cryptic message?

Maybe on the other side it is hard to reach who you mean to sometimes, and he simply bumped into her and realized she could send the message.

Maybe he contacted her so that His wife would know it was true...i.e that if the wife got the message she might not believe it concidering he was on her mind and you dream what you think about.

Well, for those who believe what the bible says (im one of those people but..),
the dead know nothing at all, and in 'heaven', you don't know or miss anyone from your family (hence no sadness).

So if you believe the bible, then this dream was a complete contradiction and couldn't have happened... however if your like me, and believe that there are ghosts, then its very probable.

"what bible did you read?"

It's the same one that I read. I'm not buying the story.

If you follow Christ, you don't believe in pagan stuff.

John 14:6 (New International Version)

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Don't you remember what happened to Israel when they practiced pagan ways?

I live in a haunted house where the most amazing things happen daily. However, I think there is a natural explanation for all so called paranormal experioences. I don't believe in spirits coming back from the dead, or that we are demonically possessed as fundie Christians like to believe!

Reminder: This is not the Religion forum and we'll have no debating here.

Open your minds, people. If you don't believe it, that's fine - but this forum is for discussing experiences - not debating whether they actually happened or not.

For the people who are skeptical of loveapple's story, she posted a very cool thread about some of the happenings at her house in this thread. I find it hard to believe that someone would make all this stuff up just for fun.
