joint dream - me and my brother

Well this was a really weird dream, it was me, my brother and the poker dogs (from the famous picture). we were all sitting on nice cushiony chairs, and i only because lucid near the end of the dream when my brother said "i'm going to wake up now" then he stood up and dissapeared. this is annoying cos i was just about to ask him if he knew that i was dreaming, so as he was going i quickly said "no wait for me" and i tried to wake up, succeeding (this is really out of the dream, not just thinking that i woke up) i said "did you just wake up?" and he said yes so i asked him if he was just in the room with the dogs having tea and he was like woah! and we were both pretty shocked by it but its never happened since.
The only other LD's i remember was one where i was in some imaginary land, but when i realised it i made some kind of hole through to my old home (the boat) and then decided to go back again, but just after getting there everything just started blurring away into a white nothing-ness except for the floor, i knew i was waking up and tried to stop it but didnt know how, this is the first time i've seen this site and looks like a great help for me to manage it again, but its a pity it happens so unoften.

cool my own banana thanks, i cant wait til i get better at LDing i know i can do it cos i've done it before, i just hope it doesnt take too long, and i can picture people looking weirdly at me if i keep checking the clock is still right and flicking the lights on and off. One problem i've always had before is thinking 'but what if its not a dream, then i might die/be arrested for it' i've never thought to check something to see if its real, but even if i do i sometimes assume that even though the time has just skipped a few hours it just seems to be normal and i lose a grip on it. i guess its just practice.

yeah it must be cool.. but it would have been cooler if you both knew in advance that you were sharing a dream together

Ev is right. Under you have to persue lucid dreaming with your brother and try to recreate that shared dream again. If you can do it consistently then you could change the study of psychology completely!

I never heard of anyone SUCCEEDING in a shared dream project. And I have read about a lot of attempts, both big and small.

Of course an ultra-conservative would still try to explain the situation scientifically. But even if they say that it was the temperature, air patterns, and sounds in the room that caused you two to call upon similar experiences, the odds are still like one to one billion.

Wait, you are sure that you didn't dream the WHOLE thing right? Meaning the talking to your brother was not a false awakening?

so you guys are saying that communicating from far distances or without sound waves is scientifically impossible?

      Welcome!
That's an awesome experience(joint dream). My Ex said that he shared one with a friend once as a teenager. I'de love to have one! Here's to you!
