Hi people, I'm Jay and I'm new here.

Every once in a while over the past long amount of years (6? 10?) I've had a lucid dream. I read a book on it last year and around that time they seemed to come to me more often, even just from reading the book before I went to sleep. All lucid dreams I can remember happened from inside a dream, not imposed while going to sleep.

Hmm the things I've done in lucid dreams? There was one recently where I was in a dream and became lucid, I had just finished reading Eldest (2nd to Eragon) so that probably helped this: I was flying on the back of a dragon, exploring a huge world of green mountains and rivers. It's the most amazing feeling to be flying on a dragon through the sky. It was incredible. Then I went into battle or something, and I merged with the dragon to one conciousness, breathing fire and such around a castle. At that point I lost lucidity and somehow ended up spraying the enemies with that goo-fire-starter thing you take camping. Not very effective!

Another one I remember was being in this strange city, and being able to jump really high and far, almost flying but not. I think the jumping was what made me lucid. That was neat.

Just last night, I had a dream where I was with a girl I knew a little while ago, and I can't remember much but it had something to do with kissing her, and then she randomly turned into a grate-sort-of-thing that you would use to put over a fireplace, and of course in the dream this seemed perfectly normal to me, and anyone in the dream talked to her as normal. Very odd. After I woke up I kicked myself for not realising that was a dream. (the whole night I had been trying to attain lucidity)

Anyway the strange thing about that dream is that I hadn't thought about her in a long time, and just when I have a dream including her, the next day (today) I got an email-update-"here's what's going on in my life"-message from her. Strange, huh.

I haven't even thought about lucid dreaming in a few years, until I stumbled onto a thread about it in /b/. So I started trying again, and then found this forum.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. Happy dreaming!
